We were here for dinner on a Sunday night and enjoyed the ambiance of the fire place. However, it seems this restaurant shares a kitchen with the other resort restaurant, which really slows the service. We waited quite a while for our dinner and when it came out, my bbq pork Mac n cheese was cold. It did have good flavor to it though! The staff gave us a discount on the meal for the wait time which was a nice gesture given that we waited about an hour or so for our food.

We decided to come here because it’s our friend’s last day with us before they go back home from vacation. We really enjoyed the Cheesey Fries basket they ordered and shared. We ordered the braised beef sando which we had as a shared dish. We were satisfied and full. We asked for our check a while ago when we were done but we had to wait at least 10 min until one of us had to ask for a check again. The only feedback we had is to improve service a bit better other than that the food was delicious!

The setting is very lovely and my blackberry mule mocktail was quite delicious. The fries are great, my steak came well done even though I ordered it medium. I requested a replacement and the replacement they brought was still medium well and the cut of meat was pretty tough. I was surprised when my check still came out full priced despite the fact that my meal was pretty disrupted and I was rather full from the fries and salad so I couldn’t even enjoy the steak that was still overcooked. I had to prompt the waitress to ask the manager if they could take a portion of my meal off as it really did kind of ruin the meal. Otherwise a good experience, but would not order the steak salad again.

A nice classy place to grab a cocktail. We were lucky enough to get to see some live music, and have a table full of ladies to dance with! The place got pretty busy when a whole wedding party showed up. But the staff kept right up! Sit on the patio for an amazing view!

I gave this place a five-star rating because I enjoyed their drinks, food, service, and the ambiance. Keep in mind that this restaurant belongs to the Sunriver Resort. It practically is located in the middle of nowhere, unless you’re counting a handful of all American restaurants/bars in the nearby Village or if you’re willing to drive to Bend for more options.
During our visits this year, we had their fish and chips (must try) and the Lodge burgers. If you like beer battered fish, you have to try this. The batter was always cooked to perfection, the batter was crunchy/crispy on the outside and the inside was cooked completely (there was no wet dough). The fish and batter ratio was perfect, too. There was a lot of fish. When ordering the burger, I added bacon and a fried egg. I liked the burger so much because I could taste the charred meat. Last but not least, the cocktails were also tasty and strong. Don’t forget to order desserts. I especially liked their crème brûlée.
We were lucky to get the same waitress for our dinner visits. I think her name is Ann. She was very sweet and attentive. Well, the service we received from other staff was decent, too. No complaints. Prices were decent for a resort restaurant.

I am writing in regard to the price and quality of cocktails. I felt like I was robbed. Should have complained at the time. Ordered a glass of Champagne and a lemon drop on New Year’s Eve. The lemon drop was the worst cocktail I have ever had and less than a half of a cup and the pour of champagne was also very small at a cost of over $30.

The best thing I can say about this place is it introduced me to Romesco sauce. We ordered some with asparagus and asked for extra with fries because it was just that delicious. I will be trying my own Romesco sauce recipes from now on. The staff was also very friendly and even comped the fries when it took like 15 minutes to get them out. The food was okay at best and maybe that’s my fault for getting the chicken pot pie. But this chicken pot pie was about as far from a pot pie as it gets. It was what I assume is a Pillsbury biscuit on top of a cup of some sort of chicken and veggie soup, probably Campbells. Honestly, very disappointing. It made me question the quality of the other food especially for the price point.

We went to watch a game in the bar area. The atmosphere was great. Pretzel was huge, and the cheese that came with it was rich and goes a long way. Deviled eggs did not have much flavor. We did see the onion rings. They were very large and looked like a good amount for the price.

The food is so bad here now. I’ve lived in Sunriver for 23 years, and I’ve been to the lodge and the owl’s nest MANY times. The menu is so limited now. They used to awesome nachos and fish and chips. And, after 8pm, they limit it to 5 things: a burger, a fish sandwich, salad, and some appetizers. It would be one thing if each item was awesome, but they are all terrible. The Caesar salad was three Romaine leaves (not cut up) with oil on it (not a creamy dressing) with 3 WHOLE anchovies on it and a Parmesan crisp with dry chicken for like $27. Obviously, drinks are expensive as expected for a resort, and that’s fair. I’m disappointed in the food and especially the menu after 8pm.

Oh my gosh everything was so good. Only complaint is I wish the Mac and cheese was a little more saucy. But holy cow. Will come back!
