Reviews
Trying Japanese food during a trip to Spain might sound a little ridiculous, but we’re big fans so we decided to give it a chance, and I’m very glad we did.
Everything we ordered was outstanding. The miso soup was perfectly balanced, the tuna tartare was incredibly fresh, and the rib-eye teppanyaki was cooked beautifully. But the highlight of the meal was the Uramaki de Cola de Langosta, without exaggeration, it was the best sushi roll I’ve ever had.
Don’t forget to order sake and just enjoy the experience.
Highly recommended.
They welcomed our large group without a reservation, and from the very first moment the experience was outstanding. This is a fine-cuisine–level Japanese restaurant where every detail matters: extremely attentive and professional staff, very comfortable chairs, beautifully designed chopsticks, and a stylish, elegant atmosphere.
The food is exceptional. They prepare all styles of sushi — nigiri, gunkan, and more — incredibly fast, even with the restaurant completely full, and the quality is simply wow. Everything is fresh, precise, and beautifully presented. The service deserves special mention: the waiters literally run to help you if you need anything, making you feel truly cared for.
A must-visit place in Seville, even — or especially — if sushi wasn’t on your original plan.
We also ordered a wakame salad and tempura to share. When the waitress brought the wakame salad, she included a bowl of sauce. We waited about five minutes and she didn’t bring anything else. Thinking the sauce was for the salad, we started pouring it over it. Then she returned with the tempura and another bowl of the same sauce, laughing at us for pouring it on the salad.
We asked if we were doing it wrong and she replied that if we liked the tempura sauce in the salad, then it was fine. When we asked why she brought two bowls of the same sauce, one with the dishes it was not for, she didn’t reply. She continued laughing at us and her colleagues for a while without apologising or offering a replacement dish. It was her fault to bring the sauce with the wrong dish and she could have explained what it was.
The wakame salad was nice even with the tempura sauce, but the waiter’s behaviour made it unpleasant. Moreover, throughout the meal, she and her colleagues kept staring at us, which was very uncomfortable.
The fried uramaki was amazing and the other dishes were delicious, but I won’t be returning to this restaurant.
Apparently, the one in Calle Betis offers better service and okonomiyaki, so, if we try again we’ll go to that one.
