Zydego shrimp – it was seasoned tiny baked shrimp on a huge bed of shredded lettuce
Shrimp and grits – grits that taste like old, unseasoned mashed potatoes and large shrimp. Only seasoning was on the sauce. The garlic bread was good.
Chicken and waffles – it was dry, shredded chicken deep fried in a hard batter. Not even sure there was chicken in there. The waffles were ok.
Overall I would never suggest the food. The ambience looks like it has potential.
Do your tastebuds a favor!
My other half was trying to surprise me with the oyster but I was very disappointed. (SPECIAL OCCASION RUINED)
Some of the best I’ve ever had . Great spot not far off highways
The waitress Sky was great. It was a rainy day and decided to go upstairs in the fresh air and watch the rain. Of course you have to climb the stairs, but that for us was no problem.
It gives you a feel that you’re in New Orleans but you’re not you’re only in Slidell.
Went there for happy hour and was more than happy !!!
Got a Abita Amber on draft and a light beer also.
Of course, if you were not familiar with Abita products you’re missing out.
And of course, did charred broiled oysters, as the season is almost coming to an end with the warmer weather moving in.
The beer was cold and served in a Pilsner glass .
The oysters were grilled to perfection. See the video….
Everything you expected, and more, the ambience is spot on definitely…
if you are in the area please stop in and try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!!!
All the food was great, and their Jacked Up Fried Pickles were the perfect balance of flavor and salt.
A somewhat generic but still welcoming atmosphere, not bad but not stand out either.
Over all a good generic restaurant experience. Happy Hour pricing definitely makes success worth it for the amount of food too.
