The BBQ Cobb salad w/pulled chicken was amazing

We arrived at 11:50 on Sunday. We were seated promptly and were able to place our drink order and appetizer. We ordered our food when our drinks came out. Our food was delivered promptly and accurately, even the special requests we made. I had the St Louis ribs and the sauced chicken tenders with fries. The ribs were meaty and delicious (highly recommended) and I had my tenders sauced in Sonny’s sweet sauce and they were equally delicious. My girlfriend had the brisket and fries. We will be back for the ribs and the brisket. I had sweet tea and my girlfriend had unsweetened tea with lemon. Great job by the entire staff! The greeters, servers, kitchen staff and management made sure we had everything we needed and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Thank you all!

I haven’t been to Sonny’s in over 10 years. I was craving bbq. I got the pick 2 plate; I got the sliced brisket, sweet and Smokey ribs with fried okra, Mac n cheese, and garlic bread. I don’t recall brisket, ribs, and okra being an up charge. Let alone so many up charge for certain meats and sides. So this plate cost $28.
Personally, I thought the portion size was small for $28. Aside from portion size, the flavor is still the same from what I remember. It was good to fulfill my cravings.

Went here back on 7/1/25. We spent a total of $80.10 for four adults, and one kid that’s 10, and a $15.00 tip. This was our first time going since they opened up from the fire. I must say the service was very fast. We did not have to wait long at all for the food. The chicken was very flavorful, but the macaroni, seemed like it was missing something. I could be biased, as that is one of my favorite dishes to make. Overall food was okay, and I will return for more of that chicken. Our server was Ronia B, and she was very nice and attentive. Only complaint I have is, my fork did not seem to be cleaned well, but other than that I would recommend you trying them.

We genuinely enjoy Sonny’s when they get your order right. Today, I ordered a burger and tots because my better half already had dinner.
The burger is great, but missing the lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles pictured in their app. This isn’t a mistake. Considering the combo costs $20 with 20% tip, you’d think they would get the order right.
I’m disabled which is why I go to places with curbside or drive thru service. I don’t mind the cost, but I do expect to get what I ordered.

OMG!!! We just had an excellent experience at Sonny’s in Lawrenceville! The food was incredible, the service was outstanding (thank you, Jhon!) and the overall atmosphere was so down-home good that I’m shouting from the proverbial rooftops! If you’ve not been to our local Sonny’s lately, do yourself a favor and give them another try!

It’s such a relaxing place. You walk in everyone say hello. Besides the food I enjoy the atmosphere it’s not loud but I don’t feel like I have to whisper. I get a simple meal sliced pork sandwich and fries. And my service is faster the fast food chains. Literally get a sit down meal. Order eat and pay under 30 minutes. Back to work.

I used to go here all the time. The food was always good not great but good. The service was always phenomenal. This time was just not right at all. All the food came out code. The waitress only came by one time to refill the drinks. She got the second order wrong altogether. And by the way, watch your Bill because that all you can eat ribs and pulled pork have a surcharge every time you order again So watch out for that it’s very sad. Definitely will not be going back.

This is my first visiting this location, and Sonny’s did not disappoint. I had a BBQ salad with shredded pork. The portion size was substantial and the Arnold Palmer was just right. Even during a busy lunch rush I was able to get in and out in under an hour.

All my meats were super dry. Brisket texture was between a well done steak and beef jerky. Pulled pork and pulled chicken were dry. Turkey was tender but super gamey.
Mac and cheese was super slimey and soft.
Overall the food was not worth the $120+ I paid. Terrible quality. Very disappointed with this experience
