Oh wow color me surprised!!!

I didn’t expect too much, just wanted some Pho. When I talked to the owner, I realized he got Hue accent (or so I think), which promptly convinced me to try their Bun Bo Hue. I also ordered Bo Kho (beef stew) and a Vietnamese coffee.

Now everything’s good. But what makes the BBH so special is it tastes much much closer to the real bun bo hue you find in Hue than the usual bbh served in Vietnamese restaurants in the US. Bbh in the US is often the Southern style, a bit too heavy on the sate sauce and often uses the thick chubby noodle. Here it has less sate and brings out more the fragrance of Mam ruoc (shrimp paste), and they use the thin vermicelli noodle just like in Hue!!! It tastes so good!!!!

The beef stew is also great, good portion, and reasonably priced. The banh mi that goes w it is warm and toasty and crispy. Just perfect!!

Good food, good coffee, great service, clean restaurant, full of light, clean bathroom… I’m sure I’m gonna be a regular here from now on.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Family owned business with great service and homey atmosphere. We got the beef pho, king pho, and spring rolls. The portions were big and everything was made fresh. I swear the spring rolls were the best I’ve had in my life, and the pho was spectacular. Overall a really great experience, we can’t wait to come back!

Just went here for the first time today, and it’s probably my favorite pho place in the Lansing area now. The pho tai nam (beef & brisket pho) was savory and flavorful, with beautiful balance and subtle spicing. Also got a pork banh mi, which was bright and fresh-tasting, and the bread was wonderfully crusty. I can’t wait to come back and try lots more!

It was such a pleasure coming here for early lunch with my partner, the environment inside the restaurant and the patio was amazing. It is clean and very beautiful decor in the restaurant. The service is amazing and the vibes were great! Our meals were the perfect way to start the day and was so fresh and full of flavor! Good value as well 🙂

The beef pho was the best I’ve found in the Lansing area. Very deep flavor and slightly sweet. The bahn mi could have used some siracha mayo and it would have been really good, but without it it left something to be desired. Still 5/5 because the pho is just that good.

Quite surprised to see how busy this place was on a Sunday night (Easter Sunday, to boot) but service was great so we didn’t mind the longer wait for ordering and the food. Everything was tasty but midway through our meal my husband noted that the grilled pork chop he ordered was undercooked. He mentioned it at checkout and the owner apologized profusely and gave him half off. My husband said he didn’t have to but he insisted…what great customer service! We will be back for sure!

I got the pho here and it was literally the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. It was the #23 pho. Also the service was great, very direct and to the point. We also got the shrimp spring rolls and they were so good as long as you put siracha in the sauce and dip it. Also the bon mi sandwiches are BOMB. Anyway this place is literally so good. And relatively cheap!!

Food was good, size portion was to share for us as we are from Asia and it was really too big to finish alone
Original Beef Pho was really good if you add the side lime into the hot soup
We love the big portion of bean sprout & basil that goes with the noodles
For those that don’t like hot soup the dried noodle with its side spicy sour sauce was a hit among us.
The sharing of its rice wraps that comes with lettuces, basil, cooked rice noodle, pork sausage was good as you get to wrap the ingredients yourself.
Only 1 waiter to bring us the food.

Great Vietnamese restaurant! A Vietnamese friend brought me here, and I really appreciated the recommendation. I had a very positive experience overall. We ordered several dishes to share, and I especially enjoyed my Com Bo Nuong Tom (beef+shrimp+rice). The beef was very tasty, the shrimp was not so great. My friend ordered Com Bo Luc Lac, which is also beef but I prefered the Com Bo Nuong Tom cut, more flavorful and tender. Even though we ate a lot, we couldn’t resist getting some bánh mì to go for later in the day.
