It’s been years since I last had Shari’s, as there are no remaining locations here in Oregon. I decided to give this place a shot around 8:30 in the morning to see if anything had changed. Upon entering the vestibule and lobby, the smell immediately gave me nostalgic vibes. I was seated quickly and got a glass of water while looking at the menu. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Club with fries and received my food in less than 20 minutes. My meal was absolutely delicious. This was my first time trying their lunch, and honestly, the service was excellent. The waitresses were extremely nice and caring. The only downside was that the pie display case was completely empty. I have had breakfast here countless times at my old local Shari’s on Lancaster Drive in Salem. I am considering coming back to this location once in a while. It is totally worth the drive!

Well, color me surprised—Shari’s is back and better than ever! I’ll be honest, there was a time (not too long ago) when this place made me question some life choices. But wow, what a turnaround! This might be the last Shari’s standing, but they’re holding the line like breakfast heroes.

I ordered the Denver Omelet, and it was everything you want in a diner breakfast: hot, hearty, and filled with enough ham and peppers to make you believe in second chances. The place was spotless (yes, I checked), and the service was genuinely great. Our waitress stopped by three times—not in that “are you done yet?” way, but in the “just making sure you’re happy” way. Spoiler: I was.

Honestly, it feels like Shari’s got a glow-up. If you haven’t been in a while, give them another shot. You might just find yourself becoming a regular again. I know I will.

So they’re changed the case of size to this orange cheese and it is nothing taste. Nothing like a case of sauce so they’re loaded. Fries are no longer loaded and I’m very disappointEd and they cost almost double the price . And I asked fir extra queso sauce when I ordered and they charges me $2.00 for it and there was barely any sauce on it . This place needs to shut down too.. im so bummed.
Not even a napkin either…

Friendly service and pretty clean restaurant. Lots of desserts were unavailable, which was disappointing. They also don’t have any dietary restrictions/food allergy options not even lactose free options. You would think they would have it considering how common it is to get those ingredients and how many people need it. They also do not have some of the common desserts such as chocolate peanut butter silk, S’mores, Trio, and Peach Pie anymore!! So sad! Lots of free parking and it’s a good location off the 503 by Fred Meyer.

Went to Shari’s for turkey dinner on December 24. First time there since they closed all the places in Oregon and Washington except the one in Orchards. Very disappointed.

I have always been leery of places that have a lot of poor and a lot of high ratings. Seems like the poor ratings were made by real customers and high ratings are made by friends or people that work there. But figured would give it a try. Since it was Wednesday would get a free piece of pie.

The Shari’s in orchards is not the Shari’s of old. Only things the same is the building and the name. Even the building is in need of repairs.

We used to go to Shari’s 5 or 6 times a year beginning when they first opened. The food was seldom great, but always good at a reasonable price. It was not an Olive Garden or Red Lobster, but you did not expect it to be.

Usually had a wait time of 15 to 45 minutes.

They had a rewards program. Where you would get a $5 discount after several meals. You got a free piece of pie on your birthday. The rewards program ended about 10 years ago. They added a number of restrictions to the birthday pie.

They had free pie with a meal on Wednesdays. Every dinner came with home made soup (usually had a choice of 2). May have had a choice of soup or salad. They began to charge extra for soup maybe 10 years ago.

On the 24th their was no wait time, may have had something to do with the holidays. There was always 5 or 6 tables of dinners. A couple of take out orders and a number of people came in to pickup a pie. They only had a choice of about 4 pies, used to have 10 to 15 choices.

I have had the turkey dinner for thanksgiving or Christmas several times in the past. It was always good, but usually had a long wait time.

Figured would give it try. The on-line menu said “The Turkey Dinner includes oven-roasted turkey, stuffing, garlic green beans, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, and a roll.” The picture shows brown gravy. The stuffing looks to be made not the hard boxed stove top.

Well the turkey was processed, not what I would call oven roasted. Stuffing appeared to be stove top from a box. Green beans were broccoli, so hard needed the sharp knife to cut it. Mashed potatoes were the only good item on the plate. Turkey gravy was white, appeared to be from a can. Real turkey gravy is brown. Cranberries were from a can, better than the chopped berries they used to have. They were not doing the free pie during the holidays.

The turkey dinners in the past was carved roasted turkey, with made stuffing, mashed potatoes with turkey pan gravy, think peas or beans, think it had mashed sweet potatoes and some sort of roll. I think it came with pumpkin pie.

I was expecting to get something similar to what they had in the past, very disappointed with what I got. As soon as I saw the processed turkey, I knew I was at the wrong place.

You would think a business that was trying to hang on or make a come back would make things better, not take short cuts and not annihilate customers.

This location is Fantastic, clean and very well maintained.
The food is quality and cooked to perfection, the omelets were stuffed with goodies. Our waitress was Roxy, and she is a Rock Star, pleasant and attentive! Our overall experience, solid 5 star recommendation!

Our server Stephanie (I think that’s how you spell it) was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, helpful, fast and honestly she reminded me of a Disney princess. She herself is keeping Shari’s alive, 10 gold stars for her!

Nice to find a Shari’s close enough to Portland to enjoy again. We enjoyed breakfast chosen from the Lighter Side section. The bacon was crispy and a choice of english muffins not just toast too.

We come here all the time at various hours, the staff is always so good to us and make us feel very welcomed and at home. They’re very approachable and easy to talk to. The food is always very good, I’ve never had to send anything back for any reason and I’m glad to have this cafe as a part of my regular routine.
