This burrito is top-notch. The grilled tortilla really compliments the beans and onions inside. I got three different meats: birria, asada, and pollo. I ordered fajita chicken and beef fajita over the phone, but the receipt says differently. It was a grind to make sure we were on the same page over the phone, but they definitely delivered. The taco plate comes with delicious rice and beans, and we decided to only get birria for the three tacos. If you order birria for your choice of meant, then do not expect to have the dipping juice. Instead, they provide three salsa options.

UPDATE: Quesabirria (tacos) come with the juice. You can order anything as a plate for an upcharge (rice and beans). Tamale rojos are very delicious and cost $3 each.

It wasn’t bad, but the pastor wasn’t doing it for me, and also the little salsa verde pack pre packaged kind of was a let down, not really spicy or maybe I didn’t ask for the right salsa?? The people were super nice though, and will try it again. I may be white on the outside, but I’ve married into a Hispanic family and I’ve been spoiled. I’ll be back, to give it another shot.

Update: Went back and ended up giving another Star on the Food. The chicharron was pretty flavorful. The Asada wasn’t bad either. Definitely recommend the Horchata though ⛽️⛽️

So good. We got there right around noon in a Friday, so it was a little busy and there was a short wait, but totally worth it. We both had a quesabirria plate and they were amazing. Super fresh, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and the dipping broth was rich and full of flavor. The portions were great, and the little extras like pickled veggies and lime made it even better. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.

Service was quick and not too busy for a friday night. Food/salsas were average. Aguas frescas were not very sweet which was a plus.

Let’s start by saying the interior of this place has had a major upgrade. Super clean and cozy inside with all new flooring, paint, and furnishings. As you can see from the pics, the menu is quite extensive, offering a little bit of everything. And for those wondering, yes, they have cold beer!

Being my first time to visit, I tried quite a few things.

The meats were above average, but if you prefer spice or heavier seasonings, you might leave disappointed.

On the other hand, the pozole was incredible and packed with tender pork and spices to make you write home about.

They offer 4 different salsas, and each were unique and full of flavor!

Stop by and try these guys out.

If you’re looking for real Mexican food in OKC, you have to check out Cactus Tacos — located at 36 W Memorial Rd Unit B4, right between Edmond and Oklahoma City, just off the turnpike. Whether you’re coming from Downtown OKC, Southwest OKC, Midwest City, Mustang, Yukon, Norman, Moore, or anywhere in the OKC Metro area — this spot is worth the drive.

This place is extra special to me because it’s family-owned by the Diaz family — my relatives — and they’ve brought the homestyle flavors of Central Mexico right here to the metro. Their years of experience in the food industry truly shine through every bite.

Let’s talk about the menu — it’s massive and full of options for everyone:
• Gorditas, Mulletas, Sopes, Quesadillas, and Cocteles
• Healthy taco salads
• A full lineup of enchiladas, including:
• Enchiladas Verdes (green sauce)
• Enchiladas Blancas (creamy white sauce)
• Chili Cheese Enchiladas — served with perfectly cooked Mexican rice and refried beans. One of their most popular dishes and an absolute must!

You’ll also find:
• Crispy tacos, Tamales, Chiles Rellenos, Guisos, Chilaquiles, Birria, Flautas, Nachos, Tortas, and loaded burrito plates
• Even hamburgers, kids meals, and Menudo on the weekends

With 16+ meat and guiso options, there’s no shortage of delicious variety for tacos, burritos, and gorditas.

Don’t forget the extras:
• ☕️ Café de olla (Mexican spiced coffee)
• Desserts
• Domestic and Mexican beer
• Jarritos, soda pop, and Aguas Frescas

The place is always clean and welcoming, with friendly staff and fast service whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. They also have several salsa options, chips, and melted cheese/queso for a full-on taco shop experience.

And look — I know you might think I’m biased because they’re family, but Cactus Tacos truly delivers A+ flavor and top-notch quality. This is one of those spots you visit once… and keep coming back to.

Try it once — and you’ll become a regular. Guaranteed.

Very authentic feel. The food is clearly being made in house from the meat marinade to the complimentary chips and salsas, all of which were excellent.

It is a hole in the wall but the vibe was appropriate for Mexican.

The service at the counter was very good, the young lady was patient taking our order and knew the menu well enough to make helpful suggestions.

The food was better than good! Everything was well seasoned from the entrees to the sides, all cooked correctly and with passion. Plentiful portions. The oil my flautas were fried in was obviously clean, best I have ever had. Carne Asada was tender and delicious.
Tortillas so fresh because they’re made in house.

Reasonable prices and a wide selection of menu items.

If you’re in the area, I recommend coming to give this place a try. It is a hidden gem.

Seems very authentic with delicious food. Very fresh and perfectly prepared, I had the chilaquiles with salsa Verde. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made great suggestions that made my experience even better. Super clean. Easy parking. Located in a strip mall directly west of Santa Fe on Memorial in OKC. Highly recommend. I’ll certainly be back bc I really want to try the Birria!

I was in the area and was finally able to stop in for lunch it was worth it. The service was great and friendly. I ordered the burrito plate with asada it was delicious. I had to try their street tacos so went with birria which was tasty. They have a carrier for their sauces to take to your table. Each sauce is unique and I enjoyed what each offered in flavor. If you’re in the area make sure to stop in I know I will.
