Born in the Philippines but my parents never taught me how to cook Filipino food. I know v sad lol & I’ve been wanting some since I’ve moved here from Jax.
Did not disappointment. Sinigang tasted like how my parents would & the sweet worker gave me extra sabow & my patis & clamanci for my sinigang lol. Lechon kawalii is good too! Of course it’s always good when it’s fresh right out the grease but this meal did not disappoint.
My husband got the pork & chicken adobo & that was delicious as well. We will be back!
Salamat Po!

Holy shiiiiii, this place was SO GOOD. I got it right after being ill for a few days, and it made me feel a lot better so fast! The soup here was so amazing. At first I was a little apprehensive because the soup I got was the tamarind(?) pork soup and I never heard of or seen a soup like that before in my LIFE, but when I started chowing down, I knew I had to leave a good review. The pork just fell right off the bone, and the vegetables were so healthy but so delicious! 10/10 would love going here again. I’m so in love with this place

I went to this place called Abuhan located in Clearwater. I got their adobo chicken, adobo pork, sweet pork, vegetable stew, egg rolls and white rice. The food was good, the customer service was great, the lady that served me was kind and even let me sample a dish. The only thing that I didn’t like was the vegetable stew because of the bitter leaves that’s in it but the lady that served me did let me know that it was bitter but I still wanted to try it.

You ever drive by a place multiple times and tell yourself, I need to stop and try that place. We did this past Friday night. You need to try it. They have a variety of Filipino-flavored dishes. When you walk in you’re greeted by the hostess who happens to be one of the owners (Husband/wife). She took her time with us and explained each dish. That kindness is unique and unexpected for us. The glass case counter has a display of prepared meals for you to choose from. We selected combo # 2 which gives you rice with two proteins. See photos of our meal. The flavors, textures, and sauces made it a wonderful dining experience. Our hostess (sorry I cannot recall her name) shared with us that her husband is the chef and makes the meals in-house every morning. I had the pork belly adobo and some Jack fruit mash. Delicious! My husband selected some beef stew and pork with eggplant. He loved it as well. For dessert, we selected some milk flan which was smooth, not bitter or too sweet. A perfect custard. We also selected a pudding of sorts with sweet potato and coconut milk. Phenomenal. We plan on going back and trying some other dishes.

I gave up on finding a decent Filipino restaurant in my area and I was excited when I found Abuhán.
The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely and it’s located in a quiet strip mall in Clearwater. It’s set up like a cafeteria style dining with the food already cooked. This is great for people to be able to see what the food looks like and it’s convenient if you’re on a quick lunch break.
I ordered dinuguan, langonisa, lecheon kawali, and pork ginataan plus some desserts to go. Despite being pre-cooked and the 20 minutes drive to home, the food was amazing. Unfortunately I started eating before I thought to take pictures of the food.
It’s a friendly and welcoming place and I’m looking forward to dining in next time. This is a place where I’d be happy to bring my family and friends. Great job!
I’ll definitely be back and I recommend it to everyone.

We tried one of everything they had available, except the whole fish! It was absolutely amazing. I would definitely go back. The noodles were the best thing ever, I could eat a whole plate of just that! The lumpia is not what I expected but it was great!!

It’s my first time to eat at Abuhan and I’m so happy I was able to find this Filipino restaurant! Their price is affordable and the serving is very generous! They even gave us some dinuguan for free! Me and my husband will definitely come back. Best value for your money and their food tastes like home.

Food was delicious and serving sizes were generous. Food here brings back memories from home. Have to say, there’s not a lot of Filipino restaurants nearby in my city but luckily this one is the closest. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu items. 🙂 The prices here are fairly reasonable for what you get.
