If you love Sonny’s, you’ll love this location. Great service, large bar, large dining room, and a clean bathroom. It was pretty busy during the lunch rush but we still received our order in a timely manner. Everything was hot (especially the baked beans, ouch) the brisket and chicken were cooked to perfection. Pulled pork was great. Wife said the sliced bread was not the same.

This food is okay for a pinch, but the flavor of the meat is overall lacking. Without the four bottles of bbq sauce, this food would be difficult to swallow. Im generously going 4 stars, but this is because tallahassee didnt have a lot of restaurants that were great anyway, and this was better than most places there.
I ordered the two meat plate, upgraded to brisket and babyback ribs, baked beans and fries. The brisket was tender but tasteless. The ribs were very chewy, anything but fall off the bone. The baked beans have a vinegar taste which really caught me off guard. The fries are okay. Nothing special.

We waited 40 minutes after putting in our order. To watch people who arrived 20 minutes after us, get there food. Along with another couple who arrived 30 minutes after us. As we were walking out, they tried telling us our food is coming out. I mentioned to them what I just mentioned in this post. At that point you think a manager would of come to at a minimal talk to us. But that didn’t happen. We left. Should of known better when we seen the parking lot emptied.

Best freaking BBQ my husband and I have had in a long time! We stopped there once before travelling, and it was epic, so we stopped again on this travel! Out of this world! Stop here for friendly faces and great food.

Separate the meats for to-go orders so the meats aren’t touching and stacked all together in one to-go box. Some people don’t eat certain meats and is against their religion to consume. Having pork and chicken juices all over everything is insane. Maybe you could put the ribs on top of the pulled pork, and then separate the chicken and brisket (in the family feast). At least I got to enjoy some good corn bread and macaroni and cheese

The food was delicious I would have given a 5 star but the service was horrible. 1st off we stood in line with hardly anyone in restaurant and waited, and waited forever. A gentleman came over and seated us. We ordered drinks, they came timely, then the food came, however we had ordered an extra order of Garlic Bread. We just ate at Sonny’s a week ago and got extra garlic bread and you get 2 pieces per order, however no waitress in site except manager so I asked her, she said no problem but shortly forgot our bread and avoided us once she knew she made a mistake, finally almost done with food we received 1 piece of Garlic Bread. After eating we need a to-go box yet we sat their over 20 minutes waiting on anyone to come by and help, no one did so we just left our left overs. I will never come back to this Sonny’s as it has the worse manager and staff, except the cooks!

They have nice napkins. Beyond that, this location has drifted so far below being acceptable. This order, for the Carolina sweet pulled pork, the meat had a huge piece of bone, some hunk of burnt corner, and the bread was so dry it was not edible. The slaw on the sandwich amounted to about 1 tablespoon, over $1.00 for a tablespoon of slaw! The entire process from ordering online, picking up and consuming the food was frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable. This store is off limits for me, forever!

They don’t give knives with a meals any more I was told you have to ask or beg for it. Food is always good so is service. Policy now sucks knife are too expensive to clean and give to customer up front . So you need to use your hands as I did . The other option now you know ask for it up front .always been five star till policy changed

Called back and the District manager Chris thought it was funny Also why are the putting your side that comes in that white container on the counter then on top of your food?
