Ambiance: It’s a very large restaurant, but there’s sometimes still a wait to be seated. The service is quite poor, it can be difficult to get the server’s attention. On a positive note, the salsa served at the start is amazing, and the warm bean salsa is unique and surprisingly good!
Chili Con Queso: The chili con queso is very tasty. It’s not spicy at all and has a creamy, almost cream cheese like flavor. It tastes like a classic yellow cheese sauce.
Grandioso Fajitas: This dish includes chicken, steak, and shrimp. It is a very generous portion that can easily feed two to three people. We were able to feed three and still had leftovers. It comes with a small bowl of rice and beans. It felt a bit unusual since most Mexican restaurants provide either individual portions or a larger serving to share. The flour tortillas are massive and absolutely perfect.
We were here for the private party. I was surprised by both great choices of corn and flour tortillas. Flavorful beef and chicken fajitas. Very fresh ingredients and delicious prepared. Attentive wait staff and clean restaurant.
Recommended highly.
This place was amazingly! Beef fajitas were perfect, juicy, and tender. Had 2 corn and flour tortillas, both were fresh and delicious. Corn is my favorite tho. Lots of toppings to add or go straight meat, onions, and tortilla! Charro beans and salsa with the thin chips were amazing as well. I went back the next night because Ruby said I had to try the barbacoa tacos. OH YEAH! What another solid selection!
Service was awesome and Ruby is super amazing herself. Made me feel like I was part of the family. Friendly and knowledgeable on the food. She makes great drinks too
We got our drinks pretty quickly and made our order. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and everything was really delicious. Our server did an amazing job checking on us.
We will definitely come back to try different dishes. I highly recommend this place for Mexican food lovers.
Next came the main event—beef and chicken fajitas (1/2 lb)—perfectly portioned to share! The sizzling fajitas were packed with flavor and oh-so-tender. Each bite was pure satisfaction, especially with those warm, fresh tortillas .
Now, let’s talk dessert! We finished with the tres leches cake, and WOW—absolutely to die for! The best we’ve tasted anywhere in Texas—light, moist, and melts in your mouth. If you come here, you HAVE to save room for this!
About the wait—yes, it was longer than expected. We were told 15-20 minutes ⏳ but waited closer to 35-40 minutes . But honestly, the food is SO worth it! The quality and flavors make it all worthwhile. Plus, our server, Jessica, was amazing! She was super attentive, always keeping our drinks filled without us having to ask ️. Her service made the experience even better!
All in all, if you’re ready to wait a bit, the delicious food and friendly service here make it totally worth it!
For my entrée, I ordered the Shrimp Poblano Enchiladas, and they did not disappoint. The flavor was incredible—rich, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Personally, I would have loved just a little extra sauce on top, but that’s more of a personal preference than a complaint.
The restaurant was definitely busy, but despite the crowd, the staff was attentive and friendly. They even offered to text us when our table was ready, which made the wait much easier to handle.
Overall, Lupe Tortilla is a great spot if you’re looking for bold flavors, great service, and an authentic Tex-Mex experience. I’ll definitely be back! ️
