Reviews
Our bartender gave us excellent recommendations. The New York–style cucumbers were refreshing. The pasta was outstanding. The chicken was good, and the mushroom sauce was delicious, but I wish it had been served on top rather than underneath as it didn’t quite coat the chicken as well as it could have.
The date cake and affogato were both fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal.
From the moment you walk in, the restaurant sets the tone with its effortlessly chic interior. The space feels stylish but not intimidating, with warm lighting, elegant textures, and just the right amount of buzz in the air. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be on a night out in New York.
The service is equally impressive. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited about the food, which only adds to the experience. You never feel rushed, yet everything flows perfectly throughout the meal.
And then there’s the food, my god! Every dish that arrives at the table feels like a delightful surprise. Each bite somehow manages to be better than the last. The flavors are rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the magic of Italian cuisine with a refined touch. I will for sure dine here every time I’m in town.
To start, the sesame sourdough bread is unreal—so good, I honestly don’t have words for how yummy it is. The tortellini pomodoro deserves a 100/10 if I could—literally melts in your mouth, light, airy, and bursting with flavor.
The chicken alla griglia is tender with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the sauce… unbelievable. The Cucumbers Newyorkese are super refreshing, and the scalloped potatoes are herby, light, and a perfect side—not your classic heavy potato dish.
And the affogato? Chef’s kiss.
Drinks are solid—dirty martini, Aperol spritz, and a glass of chardonnay all hit the mark. On top of that, the complimentary cookies and Italian ice are a fun and delightful addition to the experience.
Overall, Torrisi NYC is exceptional in every way—amazing food, impeccable service, and a dining experience I keep coming back to because it never fails to impress.
Mark took wonderful care of us — his recommendations were spot on and truly elevated our dining experience. Every dish was exceptional.
Torrisi gave us a completely unique and memorable culinary experience. Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Mark!
The amberjack crudo imported daily from Japan was so fresh and melted in my mouth. We tried 3 pastas, the truffle tortellini (a daily special), the jerk cavatelli, and amatriciana. All of them were absolutely delicious, probably the best truffle pasta I’ve had (mind you, the tortellini portion in the pic is half of the dish).
Finished the night with the affogato, with shaved ice which was a solid 10/10.
Can’t recommend enough if you have the patience to wait, or lucky enough to get a reso!
