My wife’s family has been coming here for three generations, and once they brought me along, I completely understood why. The brisket sandwich on rye is my go to, especially with a side of coleslaw and their creamy mac and cheese. Honestly, everything I have tasted here has been packed with flavor. It is the kind of BBQ spot that keeps you coming back.

1st time here, made the 2 hour drive because we had heard so much good stuff about it.
My wife and myself chose to have the sliced brisket with sides for me of corn on the cob and green beans, my wife had the smoked mac-n- cheese along with green beans. The sides were good and loved the Mac n cheese. Now for the good stuff- the sliced brisket. From the first bite on, our taste buds were in for a delightful treat. The brisket was smoked to perfection. The taste, the texture, you could feel flavor melt in your mouth.
You do get a knife but we didnt need it as the brisket was so tender you only needed a fork. Didn’t even need the BBQ sauce because the flavor was there. Add the BBQ sauce- oh my Lord, it paired perfectly with the brisket so full of a sweet flavor with a hint of a spice kick.
It is easy to see why this place is so popular and why we both were recommend personally by people and why it has gained national attention.
The staff was awesome and along with the food, made our trip from Oklahoma well worth it. It lived up to all our expectations and beyond. Hands down the best we have tasted from any restaurant style facility.
Definitely we be back!

Let me tell you about this gem. The food is delicious and the manager is super helpful. I needed a lot of food for ice cube and his crew and Angelo’s came through and put together my large order with no issues . Everything was absolutely perfect , I can’t wait to return .

Walked into a dark restaurant. No one greeted us when standing at counter to order. There were less than 8 customers in the restaurant at 5:45. They acted like we were scum. My husband and I both had on our work clothes. I asked for a LEAN chopped Brisket sandwich. The guy pull a spoon to show me the chopped bbq. It was sitting in a container with what looked like water and a ton of fat. He got attitude when I said I wanted chopped with NO sauce. Then we ordered 2 plates. This was all to go. My husband paid and TIPPED for a TO GO order even though the female and male upfront treated us rude! My husband went to the mens room and when he came back to the counter he heard me ask the guy chopping my brisket for bbq sauce to go. The man said its in the dinners. I said well, I would like some to go for my sandwich. The guy rolled his eyes and smerked. My husband asked what the issue is. The lady behind the counter rudely makes a comment. Mind you we weren’t raising our voices or rude in anyway. We get our take out and started walking out and the man and female started bad mouthing us. I looked at my husband and said I want a refund. I was not eatting slop from people that have NO customer service! We handed them the food and got a refund. So sad that we have had nice experiences at this restaurant before and this time they were RUDE! They were worse than any fast food restaurant. This place needs to work on their customer service skills. We will never go back!

Best BBQ I have ever had and on top of it the chilled beer glass was the best unexpected surprise! I got the platter with ribs and of course the brisket with Mac n cheese and potato salad. I have lived in the south and visited many well known BBQ’s and this tops them all. When I come back to TX I will be stopping back again.

Angelos is depressing as soon as you walk through the door. It is dark, the customer service is as good as fastfood. The food wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. My wife would appreciate all the animals on the wall because she likes animals but that might be as much as she will like about the place.

A Fort Worth institution! The BBQ is good, but the ambience and decor is what really makes the experience!

BEST ribs ever and of course the brisket was perfect! I love the smoked Mac n cheese! I had to get peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert and walked out with a satisfied feeling. So worth the trip from Coppell

No flavor, lack of effort even to slice the beef up properly for my sandwich. The only reason it’s not a one star is its family owned and they had good service. They then had the audacity to serve a gas station fried pie out of a fridge. I’ll never be back.
