I absolutely love this place. The waitress was amazing. My group split an appetizer of shrimp that we are all still dreaming about. It was the largest shrimp I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The flavor was wonderfully garlic and the shrimp were fresh. I had the soft shell grab sandwich with fries. It was also super delicious and fresh. I want to go back already! There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by since then that I haven’t thought about those shrimp.

The Shrimp Boil was loaded with Shrimp and was served up with potatoes, corn on the cob, and potatoes….and I devoured all two pounds (Take that Man vs Food!)…I definitely need to get lessons on the correct method to use on peel & eat shrimps though!

Terri ordered the Blackened Chicken Salad and said it was just spiced to her liking!

The Sanibel Breeze and The MudBugs Mojito were nice finishing touches.

Bryan, our server was fantastic and gave me some tips on dealing with the Peel&EatShrimp method…but as I said it needs a little work yet.

The New Orleans decor was perfect and the live music from upstairs wasn’t too loud and so added to the lively atmosphere.

It was pretty good. We had conch fritters with were just a little over done. The swamp pasta was just ok as well. Alligator a bit chewy, frog legs first ones under cooked. Second ones were ok. The ettoufee was the clear winner. I would come back for that.

What a fun restaurant with a Mardi Gras theme! You don’t have to do anything to earn beads—just show up and enjoy the atmosphere and food. The fried alligator and grouper were all delicious. Definitely a 10/10 experience—I highly recommend it!

Great Island option! Lively atmosphere, multilevel indoor and outdoor dining, spectacular menu filled with all sorts of Cajun delights. We had the pork rind appetizer which was cooked to order and super flavorful, roasted oysters with Parmesan and garlic, which were a solid 10 (definitely coming back for lots more of these), lunch entrées included their Cajun chicken sandwich, which is packed with flavor and served with excellent curvy fries, a huge shrimp Poboy filled with delicious large fresh fried Gulf shrimp and super tasty remoulade sauce. Service was attentive and made the whole meal enjoyable

Went to MudBugs for the first time recently. The food is outstanding. We went on a Saturday evening, so there was (extremely good) live music, and our waiter was on top of things. Food came out piping hot, was flavorful, and the portions were very appropriate. The restaurant has a really neat vibe as well. 10/10, I’m definitely going back!

Taste of New Orleans in Sanibel. Food is exceptional, service is amazing. Even then manager stopped by our table yesterday to see how we liked the oysters. We LOVED the oysters! Frannie took wonderful care of us and she was just full of personality in a little package. Live music and chill vibe. Best of all…. it was a hot spot for diners but the wait to receive our drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert was absolutely no wait! Definitely coming back here.

We walked to MudBugs from our hotel for an early dinner after arriving on Sanibel Island. The restaurant is nicely decked out for Christmas. The host was nice and directed us upstairs where we were seated outside on the balcony overlooking the front.
We started with a Brussels Sprout Kebabs and ordered
Étouffée and Caesar Salad with Blackend Salmon. Finished off with a slice of Key Lime Pie.

If you like anything Cajun or are missing authentic food in NOLA, then this is the place to go on the island. The service was quick, and we were seated quickly. The restaurant had a fun vibe. We had a dozen chargrilled oysters, blackened fish bites, and they were delicious! BF had the jambalaya and loved it, and I had the veggie pasta with Cajun Alfredo and shrimp skewer, and it didn’t disappoint. The portions were perfect, and we had leftovers.
