Well! Well! I finally ate at the Metro Diner 280. The Trussville location was so crowded with a long waiting line that we decided to go to the Inverness location. My friend and I were not disappointed by the customer service we received. Service was done with a spirit of excellence and the food was delicious. Kudos to 280. Top Rated Reviewer Delicious! I really had a craving for pancakes and ordered online delivery through Doordash. The order arrived on time to the minute⏳so great service from staff. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were cooked to perfection! They’re thick and super fluffy, not over-sauced but the right amount of sweet based on the description. I added the sausage links on the side, which was a great mix of sweet and savory. Yum!

This place is . Old school diner feel, with some old and not so old school menu items. We had the chicken and waffles- Half a fried chicken and a Belgian waffle, topped with powdered sugar and sweet, strawberry butter. Served with our signature sweet and spicy sauce. Your traditional breakfast platter, available all day! Two eggs any style, bacon, toast, hasbrowns or grits, and a short stack of pancakes. I had my eggs over medium, plain grits, subbed the bacon with Turkey sausage, subbed the toast for a biscuit, and I subbed the plain pancakes with the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes- Two fluffy pancakes swirled with cinnamon and sugar, topped with cream cheese icing, candied pecans, and cinnamon butter.
All of the food was amazing! The half chicken was fried to perfection and well seasoned. That strawberry butter and sweet and spicy sauce was delicious on the chicken and waffles. The cinnamon roll pancakes needed no syrup. They were delicious as is. The turkey sausage, biscuit, eggs, and grits were also delicious. It was soooo much food to eat. I had the drip coffee with mine. The coffee had a nice rich taste. I drank three cups. Oh yea, the service was amazing also. Our waitress kept us fed and my coffee cup filled. I’ve went here on more than one occasion and enjoyed the food immensely and loved the service. Don’t know if it was a one off or not, but my sister ordered the fruity waffles and the blueberries were overtly sour and the banana was brown and was mushy. My fried chicken and waffles were as good as they always are. Service was also not as good as usual.

I had a great experience on a Friday night at the Metro Diner on 280! The food was fresh and delicious, and the entire restaurant was clean. Our waitress Anaiyah was absolutely amazing & friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed both the food and the service. Highly recommend!

Everything about this place was absolutely amazing . We walked in and felt welcomed, ordered our food, and before you knew it, the food was on our table hot and ready to eat . I would definitely recommend this location for sure. It made me feel like I was at home .
