We had a phenomenal experience at The Green Olive. Everything was done extremely well, in all facets of expertise.
Our server was very kind, explaining to us the best-sellers on the menu and even knowing everything that was in each dish. He had patience and aptitude to succeed at his job.
Our food was remarkable. We started with Trio Dips Appetizer which was such a great sampler item. We then got the chicken shawarma plate, the lamb plate, and the pappardelle pasta. All dishes were filled with so much flavor.
The restaurant was comfortable, clean, and was a place that you’d want to come back to. Frankly, I’m counting down the days until we do! Cheers.

Before I make my review please keep in mind that my wife & I have traveled the world, many times to the Mediterranean so I am comparing the food here not only to the real deal but also several Mediterranean restaurants here in Phoenix that we have been to. My wife and I were excited about taking our nephew here because we always love Mediterranean food and wanted him to try some near his house. With that said we were very disappointed! Although the food looked delicious it was extremely bland, w/o that wonderful herby, savory, fresh taste most Mediterranean food has, the meat was totally w/o flavor, slightly overcooked and the tzatziki even tasteless, no zig or zip to it. The rice has the most flavor of everything and even with that flavor it was pretty plain. On top of that the waitress got the order wrong on 3 seperate things(no tomato/cucumber) in the salad, she brought a salad full of tomato and cucumber. Spicy shrimp with double fries, she brought spicy shrimp with double rice. I had to ask 2 times to get her to bring me a side of tzatziki out and the pita bread was brought out half way through the meal. It was just a all around dissapoint meint for us because we do have many Mediterranean restaurants we can compare it to not only here in Arizona but around the world in our travels and to be very honest we won’t be returning here as it was pretty high priced for the quality of food you get and the food left us wishing we went somewhere else.

I came out on a Friday night! I sat at the bar area. Really beautiful place, very clean. Shanty was really nice. I got to meet the chef Armando kind guy, asked me about my experience. Food was really good! I had the chicken kabobs and their dessert. 10000000/10 I will be back ♥️

This is a new establishment in the same location as where the old “Ground Control” used to be. The new owners updated the entire place. It feels more open and inviting and upgraded benches/tables and decor make it feel like someplace you will frequent.
The food was excellent! The iced coffee was better than a Starbucks and the warm pita is amazing!
I thought both the beef kabob and the traditional Greek salad with chicken were very well prepared and delicious. Large enough portions for leftovers and my only regret was not getting a little side of hummus with the warm pita that is served.
I will certainly be back! Make sure to support them, this is going to become a local fave!
They also have a fun wine night and other events so I’ll have to check one of those out soon! Sounds like they aren’t using seed oils which is also really smart!

This was our second time at this restaurant my family and I came for my birthday. I really did not care too much for the food the first time and this time it was definitely a miss. We were a family of seven, ‘No silverware/napkins at the table. Our food was delivered and the waiter didn’t even notice it. We had to call him back for silverware. I ordered the lamb and rice ‘medium rare’ I got it’ raw rubbery and disgusting. My bestie and her husband ordered a gyro plate and they shared it. The kiddos had pizza my daughter ordered the chicken skewer, beef and the sausage. She didn’t enjoy her food so we took it to go and literally threw it in the garbage. This will definitely be my family’s last time visiting this place. It just wasn’t anything to brag about and the food lacked quality. Funny thing my bestie loves Greek food so do. I Have a Greek place that I frequent that has never disappointed me. I didn’t see it for this place the first time but wanted to be fair in my review. We definitely will not be returning.

I went here with my husband for Father’s Day, it was our first time. The food is delicious! We ate off the brunch menu, both plates were beautiful with great portions. We also tried their Old Fashioned and the 10 out of 10. The bartender definitely knows what she’s doing! We will for sure be back to try out their lunch menu.

This was our second time to The Green Olive Bar and Grill. First time was very enjoyable. We shared a pizza and a the mixed grill plate. We enjoyed them both. Today service was a bit slow. We had a pizza and the special bolognese lasagna they said was excellent. Pizza was very good and like we experienced the first time. The lasagna was not great. Sauce was acidic, top was very hard, felt like it was yesterday’s reheated. When I told the server it wasn’t the best, she basically laughed and asked if we wanted desert. Much less likely to go back after our experience today. Disappointed as I wanted to have a small restaurant I could enjoy and support.

This place is pretty cool very nice atmosphere. Drinks were decent. Everything else was complete garbage. Our server had zero personality and seemed to whisper so I couldn’t really hear him…iced tea was never refilled despite my request. The food: mrs. Had gyro plate, the meat was dry and very similar in consistency to jack links beef jerky. I ordered spicy shrimp kabobs. Flavor was flat and the shrimp was WAAAAY overcooked had a very rubbery consistency. The salad was over dressed and yet somehow very bland. The value of the food is way overstated, the quality and flavor of the food did not match its price tag. To top it all off my iced tea glass (which I was really able to inspect while my glass sat empty for most of the meal) had lipstick lip prints all over the rim. I let the server know about this. He just started at me like he was gonna cry. So I just paid the bill and left. This place is trying to be something it’s not. So I won’t be back. If you decide to try it, beware and good luck.

First time trying out “The Green Olive Bar & Grill”. We were very impressed by the substantial investment made to the old “Ground Control” location. Beautifully renovated, with high end pizza oven, and clean & modern decor. The server was attentive and food was fresh and well seasoned. Our pita bread tasted freshly made, and all the dips were house made. With so few restaurant choices in Litchfield Park, I think this will be a hit.
