My first time in New Orleans while watching heavy traffic come and go while sitting in the car messing with my GPSI decided to stop in.. of course I ordered the usual shrimp lo mein it was very flavorful good however the noodles was not cooked throughly. They were really hard and chewy and doughy. However, the management and the staff allow me to change and get something else so I appreciate that with that being said I’m giving them a five star the young lady was nice and staff was kind. It’s a lot of people working back there too, but everyone was decent. I would recommend. There is a gnat flying around getting on my nerves

We dug in too fast to take pics. Outstanding food, generous portions, very friendly service. The lady I talked when I called in our order was patient, helpful, and very understandable. Also, my husband said she double checked everything in our order when he picked it up. Every sauce we requested was there in abundance. We had Gen. Tso’s chicken, white meat, and this was so delicious!!! Clearly homemade sauce and quality pieces of chicken. The fried rice was really good, and the egg rolls are MASSIVE and full of goodness! We shared this and there’s some leftover. We had an order of Cho Chos which are also really yummy, and I loved the house sauce plus the homemade sweet and sour. An order of Cho Chos could be a whole meal. We got extra egg rolls and couldn’t finish them either. I also got China Doll soup, and while it was full of fresh chicken breast and veggies, I’m going to pass next time and try the wonton soup. Most places we love the first time go down hill from there, but this place has been there for decades so I’m looking forward to the lo mein (and more general Tso’s) on the next trip.

Fast, friendly service and delicious food are always on the menu here! We had an egg drop soup (not pictured), egg rolls, cho cho, a Fog Cutter to drink, as well as tea and sodas, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, General Tso’s chicken, and kung bo shrimp. The meals were served with yummy shrimp fried rice. We paid for the upgrade to white meat only for the lemon chicken and the sweet and sour chicken–it was worth the small upcharge! Everything was tasty. The servings were big enough for large appetites & made for lots of leftovers for the rest of us!

When you first walk in, you might wonder what you’re walking into, but I have to say this is some of the best Chinese food in the city. Their crab Rangoon is easily the best, it’s just so good. Although we often do takeout, and a lot of people do which is why the front lobby area is mostly for takeout, we’ve sat in several times. We have great service when we come, we often get Miss Theresa. Great family, friendly atmosphere.

I specifically asked the waitress multiple times if the food my daughter ordered had sesame or nuts, because she is allergic. I explained that her allergy is sensitive and that it can be triggered if they use the same cooking utensils. My daughter got her food ate a rib and took a bite of her rice and began to have an allergic reaction. I asked the waitress if her food had sesame or nuts and she said they cook most things with sesame oil. I had to run out with my daughter get her a Benadryl and something she could eat. When I got back my food was cold and I couldn’t enjoy my food with my family. When we got the ticket, they charged us for the plate my daughter ordered. We asked for it to be removed, and she said she couldn’t because her step father ate a rib and she ate a rib. We asked to speak to the manager, and the waitress said the manager was busy but she could take half off. I asked to speak to someone else, and she got the manager. The manager explained she thought I meant sesame seeds, and took the item off.
Neither of them were apologetic and they treated us as they were annoyed by their dangerous mistake. I’ve never had a worst experience at a restaurant. Not to mention the service from the beginning was sub par.

I was disappointed with the lack flavor I had loaded lowmein. I added condiments to help bring the flavors, but it didn’t help! I don’t know, maybe I ordered the wrong dish. My friend said she was ok with her dish.

It really is the best Chinese food in the Greater New Orleans area. The food is wonderful, the portions are generous and the service is good. It is an old building but the atmosphere has the charm that only comes with authenticity. It isn’t plush but it really feels like a homey Chinese restaurant. My friends and family love this place.

Pretty good. Fresh taste not nearly as salty as others. Egg roll is homemade loaded with shrimp and pork. Purchased My “standard” curry chicken, extra hot. As a chilly head I rate it mild. Portion size is huge IMO. The only negative thing was the egg roll was packed inside the package and not separate. When the takeout box leaned the sauce for the main dish soaked the egg roll. But the egg roll was…still good.. just mushy on the outside.
