Absolutely loved thus place.
We booked in advance and had an intimate table that comfortably seated our party of 5.

The menu has a great mix of tasty alternatives and can be ordered as a conventional starter-main, or as tapas.

Prices are in line with city centre good quality dining.

Service was excellent, friendly and well timed.

Atmosphere was relaxed, buzzing: a really good vibe.

Will be coming back.

Great unique place to eat Indian street food, small tapas type plates or traditional Indian curries & rice . Excellent value can highly recommend the Pani Puri chaat , pakora battered chicken wings, the chicken burger, paneer dishes & roti. All the food looked amazing will definitely return next time in Birmingham!!!

Although the beer choices here were somewhat limited compared to other places, the food did not disappoint. It is a little bit less pub-like and seems more semi-formalish.

The food portions were very generous and there was nothing we complained about the taste. Overall a good experience, and the service was very attentive.

I had a very very disappointing experience at The Indian Streatery. The glasses were not clean, and the pakora chaat we ordered had burnt pakoras with only one pakora and sev, which spoiled the taste. The girl serving us showed attitude right from the moment we entered the restaurant. On top of that, the food was not fulfilling or satisfying. Overall, it was not a pleasant visit, and I hope the management improves both the food quality and customer service.

The true authentic taste of Punjab is embedded into the very gastronomic delights of this amazing Streatery. Unpretentious and simply delicious food! I loved it

When we walked into indian streatery we were met with the most amazing smells, then greeted in such a warm manner. Also noticed the beautiful dining room, warm and cosy with great decorations and gorgeous ceiling
We sat down and the waiter offered to go through the menu with us.
We took suggestions and had a lovely chat with another waiter about us coming from Australia and their recent trip to Australia.
Then the food, wow! Fragrant, delicious, vibrant, there aren’t enough adjectives for how good this place is.
Highly, highly recommend this outstanding restaurant

Absolutely love my experience here! The service was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. They made sure everything was perfect without ever being overbearing, which really made the experience stand out. The food was 100% authentic and tasted just like home cooking! This is definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a consistently great dining experience.

It was an excellent choice to eat here as the food was very delicious, the service was perfect and we had to taste new things for the first time. The atmosphere, however, is a bit of a problem since the restaurant is so small. I’m not tall but yet I felt uncomfortable in the tiny middle table. Albeit that, everything was a delight.

Solid Indian fare – serving full dishes and Tapas small plates, which I found to be quite large! I would have liked a few more peas and cheese in the Mutter Paneer but only because the sauce was so beautifully tasty, and I wanted it to take longer to eat! The Roti selections were interesting and good and the Yellow Dhal was totally authentic.
I didn’t need the ‘third plate’ which was recommended, maybe because I was disappointed by the lack of pakora and far too much Chaat. My mistake really.
The Mango IPA beer complemented the food perfectly.

I recently dined at The Indian Streatery and found the experience to be a mixed bag. While the food was clearly aimed at non-Indian palates, offering a mild take on Indian street food, it ultimately lacked the authentic kick and heat that I expect.

The service, however, was exceptional in every regard.
The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
The portion sizes were on the smaller side, which might leave some diners wanting more.

Located in a nice part of the city, The Indian Streatery has good decor and a vibrant atmosphere.
Despite these positives, the restaurant didn’t quite hit the mark for me, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

It seems to be riding a wave of popularity, partly due to the visit by Prince William and Kate Middleton, but for someone seeking genuine Indian flavors, it falls a bit short in my opinion.
