The only small complaint is that the egg portion seemed relatively small for 2 eggs. Other than that, spot on!
Definitely recommend dining here.
From the moment we walked in, service was lightning-fast and welcoming. A friendly host greeted us right away, guiding us to our table while enthusiastically walking us through the current biscuit roster — a nice touch that shows they take their signature breads seriously.
My wife opted for the grouper salad, and she was genuinely thrilled with it. The fish tasted incredibly fresh, the portion was impressively large, and the whole dish hit all the right notes of light yet satisfying. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something seafood-forward and refreshing.
Our daughter went classic with the fried shrimp, and oh my — the portion was massive! She could barely finish half (though she did sneak quite a few spoonfuls of my grits). The shrimp were perfectly crispy, with tails that slipped right off — clear sign of fresh, high-quality seafood. Bonus points: she even found a rogue grouper nugget hiding in the pile, which felt like winning the appetizer lottery.
I couldn’t resist the large Country Boy breakfast — smoked country sausage, creamy grits, and a plain biscuit. The plate arrived absolutely loaded with generous servings of everything, and it was all delicious. The sausage had that perfect smoky depth, the grits were rich and comforting, and the portions left no room for complaints.
As someone who grew up on Alabama county biscuits, I have to say these were very close to the real deal — tender, flavorful, and properly Southern. They’re really good, no question. My only tiny nitpick? They were just a touch too thick for my personal preference — I tend to like them a bit more delicate and layered. Still, I’d happily order them again.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for fast, friendly service, massive portions, fresh ingredients, and solid Southern cooking, this place is a winner. We’ll definitely be back — and next time, I’m stealing some of my daughter’s shrimp too. Highly recommended!
The sage biscuit is our favorite! Other menu items we recommend are: Crab Cake Benedict, Bayou Benedict, Shrimp & Grits, and Very Berry Biscuits. Oh I almost forget the deep fried bacon and onion rings!
It wasn’t loud to the point we couldn’t have a conversation, but it was definitely noisy. If you want somewhere quiet, this isn’t it (at least not on the weekend). Apparently, it’s slow during the week so I’d suggest going then if you’re local. Either way, we don’t mind because the food and service were great. We’ll be back if/when we come to Mission Inn again!
Twisted Biscuit knows exactly what it’s doing when it comes to biscuits. The variety is impressive, super creative, and always changing—which keeps things fun. My jalapeño corn biscuit had great flavor but was a bit on the dry side. Not a deal breaker, just a small miss in an otherwise solid lineup.
The menu is full of unique offerings, and my grits and fried green tomatoes were fantastic. As someone who doesn’t eat meat, though, I’d love to see more creative meatless options—especially when it comes to biscuit toppings and gravies. If they can be this inventive with biscuits, bringing that same creativity to vegetarian gravies and toppings would really take things up a notch and make the menu more inclusive.
The restaurant was packed (clearly for good reason), and I appreciated that they offer half-price mimosas and Bloody Marys while you wait—definitely a smart way to keep people happy. The staff were friendly, attentive, and handled the crowd well.
Prices were higher than expected, but portions were generous and we all left with boxes, so it felt worth it. Overall, Twisted Biscuit is a lively brunch spot with big flavors, great energy, and just a few thoughtful tweaks away from being an easy five-star favorite
