Spent the weekend in Reno and my amazing husband found this delicious spot for brunch. We shared a pumpkin waffle, which btw was presented beautifully and made sharing easy. The waffle was cooked to perfection, topped with a perfectly whipped pumpkin cream cheese frosting and served with hot syrup and a side of pepitos. I ordered the pull pork eggs Benedict and the jalapeño cilantro hollandaise sauce contained the perfect amount of spicy and creamy. My husband ordered the surf and turf eggs benedict and the steak was cooked medium rare, just how he likes it. The egg itself unfortunately was lacking the ooze factor, but it was just the one egg. The highlight for my husband was the vegetable hash. The bloody Mary was a little disappointing because of how peppery it tasted, but we aren’t letting that bring down the vibes. 10/10 highly recommend and will definitely be our to-go spot whenever we are in town. Food was amazing, waitress was great and the overall vibes were awesome.

Love this place. Would be here all the time if I didn’t live in a different state. Tuna sandwich was one of best I’ve ever had. I also now realize that I need a lot more jicama in my life.

Met the Daughter of the original business owners! Wonderful people, staff and story.

Breakfast lasts until 3pm here!
I received the Chorizo Benedict with Potatoes, and my husband ordered the Salmon Benedict with Cottage Cheese, both very delicious and filling! The poached eggs were PERFECT, and as we waited for our order, we noticed a lot of people ordered an eggs benedict too!

Our server Gregario was phenomenal! He was truly calm, confident, and caring. Someone give him a raise!
My meal was $17-19 and his was $20, and the Coffee and creamer were complimentary

A favorite breakfast spot here in Reno! Service is outstanding and the warm vibe and easy listening music makes it a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy! I usually have their Eggs Benedict but today I tried their chicken fried steak. OMG !! What I really love about this place is the freshness of their menu selections. Served hot and always delicious ! If you haven’t been here yet, you really should come in !!

We had a lovely evening for dinner on the last day of school June 6. Outdoor seating was so beautiful in terms of the decor and beautiful plants and flowers. Serena and her staff are always polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Three out of the five of us had the scallops, crab and shrimp pasta. It smelled divine! (I am allergic to shellfish so no tastes for me! Pasta and seafood were plentiful and yet…no leftovers! 🙂 For appetizers, we had the calamari which was so light and tender, the classic escargo and the garlic butter sauce required to servings of bread to go with it, and I had the Gazpacho- which is my fav thing to eat this time of year. My husband had the seafood Louie and…there was nothing left of the enormous dish! I had the salmon Cesar and it was definitely medium and so grateful they did not overcooked it. It had a lovely sear and was a great compliment to the handmade dressing. No one had enough room for dessert…but if they would have…I would choose the bread pudding! Yum!

I arrived alone and was sat at the bar. There was a lady behind the bar that was training a new bar tender. She poured me some water and went on with her busy activities. She was taking a while to give me any attentiveness so I asked one of the servers that were running around if they could take my order. They immediately did. After I waited a while and the lady never asked me if I wanted anything else to drink. So I asked that same server if she could make me a mocktail. When she told the lady behind the bar that was supposed to be helping me, the lady in frustration asked if I didn’t like my lemonade because I hadn’t touched it. It was the “water”……which she promptly emptied and refilled. With nothing better to do I sat and watched this lady, which I can only assume is the manager or owner be a complete sarcastic, disrespectful expletive to her employees. They were so helpful, when it came to me and the things she needed behind the bar and everything that came out of her mouth was sarcastic and rude. I hate to judge but it was hard not to notice that the employees she was treating that way were of a darker complexion than that of the lighter young lady she was training and treating so kindly. Maybe she just was being kind to her because she was new. But my advice to that new hire is run!!!! Besides the staff vibes that left a really bad taste in my mouth the food was good and the mocktail that the very nice server suggested for me was delicious. I even forgot my coffee cup in frustration……but the nice buser/ food runner found me before I got to my car.

The food is always good, tamales are made there and lattes and french toast are always good too. Sometimes you need to park on the street because parking can be tight and they get busy and stay busy so I recommend getting a reservation during peak times. Indoor and outdoor seating is nice and the service is always polite, though can sometimes be understandably delayed during really busy times.
