I ordered the 12-piece Signature Chicken from the Popeyes at 1431 S Crismon Rd, Mesa, AZ 85209, and it was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. The chicken looked over-fried, dried out, and as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days. There was almost no meat on the pieces — it was literally not edible.
I was too exhausted to deal with the long, inconvenient refund process that comes with delivery services, but this level of quality is unacceptable. After receiving my order, I looked at the reviews, and they were terrible — and they all describe the same issues. What’s even worse is that the owner replies with the same copy-and-paste message every time: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will address this immediately.” Clearly nothing is being addressed. The quality continues to decline, and the responses are just empty lip service.
I’ll be attaching photos because the condition of this chicken speaks for itself. Dry, burnt, and barely any meat. Simply horrible. Worst experience I’ve ever had from this restaurant.

Really hit or miss. But more of a miss at this location lately. My wings are either wrong or barely sauced, and cold like they were poorly reheated. A bummer, since when they’re good, they’re really good. The spicy chicken sandwiches are also barely spicy at all, but that could be personal taste. Fries are good though and I appreciate the extra dipping sauce!

I will never eat at another Popeyes again after this experience. After placing my order and sitting down we waited 25 minutes in the lobby. I went up to the counter and they admitted they fully forgot the order. I was understanding and sat back down, things happen. The manager came over and asked for my receipt which was weird because the ticket was hanging right in view in the kitchen but this will be important later. I waited for a full 30 minutes more and went up AGAIN. The order still wasnt ready and we finally got our food about 5 minutes later AND THE ORDER WAS TOTALLY WRONG. At this point i was done. I ate and left. The first wait was understandable but as a manager at that point you should be taking immediate action and I should not be waiting even longer only to have the order be totally wrong. I went to submit comments with their corporate office at which point it became apparent you cannot submit without having a receipt which is why the manager took mine. After excess effort I finally got ahold of their corporate office which said they have no way of assisting if I dont have an online account they can credit. So in short they would not help me if I didnt sign up for an account which allows them to market my information for their benefit. There are multiple other ways they could have addressed this. Absolutely asinine and I will never go to another Popeyes again if this is their attitude towards customer service.

We come here a lot,And to be totally honest rarely do we get the correct order. Like how do you get boneless wings and no sauce put on them. Shame on us for not checking our food every-time when we know Its wrong most the time.

I showed up at this location at 9:45 to pick up an order that had been placed at 9:30. It is currently 10:00 and it still isn’t ready, so I find myself with plenty of time to leave a review. This is not the first time I’ve encountered this here. They didn’t even attempt to start making the order until after I showed up. This has been my experience at this location every single time I’ve picked up here. The service is atrocious. I was barely even acknowledged when I came in and had to ask twice if they even had my order.
So after a half hour from the time the order was placed I’m told it will be ANOTHER 10 to 15 minutes. That’s 45 minutes for them to make a single order, and that’s if they even have it ready by then. This used to be such a good location, but had really gone downhill in the last couple of years. Do not come here unless you have 45 minutes or an hour to kill just waiting for your food.

Paid $36 for my meal and didn’t get any drinks. I was in such a rush I didnt realize until I left and when I tried to call to get it corrected their number is disconnected. I live top far to just drive back, I was hoping to get 2 drinks free if I were in the area again since I paid a good amount foe them and didnt get them.

You call this chicken. A thigh with all skin and barely any meat. A wing with no meat. Ask for a leg but gave me a thigh with no meat and a wing, seriously I paid over 10.00 for not enough food to feed a toddler. I want my money back but I know that won’t happen. Also got bait and switched as they still had the sign out for the 6.00 big box, but got told it was over. I should have walked out. Can’t call the store the number is blocked. Can’t get ahold of customer service its all AI chat crap. So all I can do is tell people don’t go here.

Checkout was crowded at time of pickup. Received only two of eight ordered biscuits. Otherwise, it was a wonderful meal. Best red beans and rice outside of Louisiana.

Service the cashier was nice but the manager handing out food was not pleasant. I had to ask for dipping sauce and the food she is putting out is past its holding time or overcooked.

It would have been nice to sit in one of the booths but literally every single booth was dirty. Lots of employees standing around playing on their phones in the back but it seems like cleaning isn’t a top priority at this location. The food was ok for the price. I recommend going to the Popeyes in Apache Junction if you want to enjoy better quality food and a cleaner dining experience.
