Went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, which would normally mean a good thing…. But it wasn’t. This is the worst Mexican Restaurant I have ever been to. The chips were stale and the salsa was cold, as if they poured it out of a Tostitos jar salsa. They tried to upsell the fajitas because it’s the most expensive thing on the menu, and were offended when I told them no thank you. The food came out and looked like it would be good, boy was I wrong. The chicken burrito and beef chimichangas had no flavor at all and were extremely dry. The waiter would come over and ask if everything was alright, but before we could answer they would walk away. We couldn’t eat our food it was that nasty. We got our check, paid and left. Would never go back and would avoid at all cost. Do not eat here.

Very disappointed during last visit prior to recent flight. The chimichanga was bland and looked and tasted like it was filled with plain cooked ground beef. I make more flavorful taco & burrito filling at home with grocery store flavor mixes.
We usually eat here whenever we are flying into our out of BWI afternoons or evenings. Also we eat here randomly through the year with friends. ¡No mas!

I was driving through the area and decided to stop here to take a dinner break. This is probably one of the worst Mexican spot I have ever tried. Everything tasted like it came out the microwave or a can. The Mole didn’t taste like Mole at all, the tortilla tasted like dollar store tortillas, the rice was cold, and the beans are definitely from a bag. The horchata was good, I will give them that. The staff were great and attentive though.

My fiance and I have been here several times and every time we have been impressed. The food tastes great and the portion sizes are generous. They offer a lot of different options, including vegetarian, and the price is decent. All the servers have been very friendly and accommodating. It’s never busy when we go (usually around 2pm on weekdays) which I hope isn’t a sign that it’s not doing good business. We really love this place and hope it stays open.

I used to eat here a lot when I worked in the area so when I was there on a Thursday evening I decided to order something for takeout. I got the three item combination, one tamale and two cheese enchiladas. The tamale was fine but the cheese in the enchiladas tasted like and had the consistency of Velveeta. The chips they gave me were stale. The tamale was okay but pretty bland. The best tasting thing was the rice.

Food was soo good and affordable. I tried the Lunch Chori-pollo and my husband had the lunch mix fajita. Both portions were large. Superstar was the guac though. Very simple but flavorful. Will definitely return when in the area.

The staff is always cheerful and the service is excellent.
For the price of a fast food meal, you can have a delicious meal here with wholesome ingredients and almost just as fast.

Everything about Los Portales was great for my visit. I was immediately seated with a large group, and the place was packed. As soon as we weren’t seated we were given chip and salsa and offered a drink. We were also met with the house specials and happy hour brief/drinks available, which is awesome… Most of the time you have to ask. I ate tacos, burritos and tried the chicken quesadilla. All of the food was amazing, I asked for a hotter sauce and they gave me a great hot sauce full of spice and flavor. Throughout my visit the waiter was on point and always asking about refills and when needed it was there quick fast and in a hurry. Overall great food, great service and great drinks. I would.highy recommend Los Portales.

Arrived at lunchtime. Several tables had been taken already. Music was pleasantly playing. Nachos was served with salsa. We ordered shrimp fajitas and shrimp Chimichanga. Seasoned well, not salty or greasy. Service was fast, and waiters were very polite . You can’t hear the airplanes nearby. Easy parking, too.
