Went in alone on a weekend. The staff found me a nice table inside the restaurant. Wanted to try some sea food, so ordered different plates of food. I really enjoyed the food. The dessert I had, Eton Mess, was hands down the best thing I ever had in my life.

Visited The Fish Shack today. We were seated promptly and had a fabulous, cosy table that had a view out to the harbour.
We ordered the fish platter and wow !!! It was absolutely amazing. A delight for the eyes and the tastebuds.
Good selection of drinks to accompany the meal. Staff welcoming and attentive.
Even the handwash and hand cream in the bathroom was good.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Easily the best fish restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. The langoustines were perfectly cooked in which garlic butter And they even added samphire When requested. The bread is warm and fresh, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable and to put the cherry on the bun, our dog was welcome to.

This was our lunch stop in Amble on our tour of the Northumberland coast. It is a quirky, fun and interesting little restaurant within the harbour area overlooking the estuary.
The views are amazing and the place gives off a very cosy feel to it.
I had the haddock bites that were very nice and everyone else had seafood chowder which they said was delicious.
A very nice unusual spot for a meal if you are ever nearby.

A beautiful restaurant with stunning views—such a treat! The seafood pot was absolutely delicious, and the burger was just as impressive. The staff were warm and attentive, though service at the shack took a little while. That said, once we were served, everything was fantastic. Huge thanks to the team!

We had a lovely meal here, a delicious choice of fresh fish, and brilliantly cooked. The shack was cosy, without being small, and the service was great. It’s not a super fancy establishment, the quality of the ingredients do the talking.

The menu here is superb and varied and the staff extremely accommodating on any special little requests. The team here are very friendly and clearly happy working in this quirky little restaurant.
Love the varied menu and the happy atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and fabulous views of the harbor, if you’re lucky enough to get a table near the windows.
They’re also happy to welcome well behaved Dalmatians (and dogs in general.)
Just about to spend another three days in Amble and we booked here for every night, which will be the highlight of our trip.
Can’t recommend too highly and everything on the fish menu is cooked to perfection.
Wasn’t sure if I should write a review – would be devastated if they were fully booked for our next trip!

Very popular fish restaurant. We had the fish and chips – batter and fish was amazing!
In a nice position at the harbour in Amble not that far from some good parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was super foggy friendly. I didn’t like the coffee particularly but that’s just personal preference.
