After coming to Cabo for 13 years, my husband and I finally booked a reservation at Sunset Monalisa, and hands down it was the best meal and dining experience we’ve ever had in Cabo. We booked a premium table before sunset, which was $25usd per person and included a glass of prosecco per person that was served after the meal. When we arrived, we were taken to our table, which had a beautiful view from every angle and we were lucky enough that there was a beautiful sunset that night. Our waiter was more than willing to take as many pictures as we wanted with our own devices. After the hype of the sunset, we settled in with a bottle of wine from the extensive wine list and enjoyed the 3-course prefix meal. Each course was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. I had the scallops, braised short rib, and lavender cheesecake for dessert. My husband chose the tartar filet, lamb shank, and ruby of Monalisa. We shared, of course, and had no regrets on any of the selections. Definitely recommend!

We visited Sunset Monalisa to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was on an entirely different level compared to other high-end restaurants we’ve been to in Cabo, including places like Taboo in the past. From start to finish, this felt like true fine dining done right.
We reserved the premium edge seating and paid extra for it—absolutely worth every dollar. The uninterrupted ocean views at sunset were breathtaking, and the live music added a beautiful, romantic touch without ever feeling overwhelming.
The food was outstanding. We ordered the porcini oysters, kampachi carpaccio, 20-layer lasagna, and lobster tortellini. For dessert, we had the Ruby of Mona Lisa and the smoked chocolate and hazelnut—every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. My wife also opted for the premium wine pairing, which elevated her experience even further—each pairing was perfectly matched and added another layer of enjoyment to the meal.
We were also offered an off-menu course they’re working on: raw lobster with caviar and mushroom truffle. It was a unique dish and a fun experience to try something not yet on the menu.
The views alone are reason enough to come here, but the service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere truly set Sunset Monalisa apart. Yes, it’s a premium price-point restaurant, but we left with zero regrets. If you’re celebrating a special occasion or want a truly memorable dining experience in Cabo, this place is a must.

Wow. This place, it’s food, and it’s staff were exceptional. We enjoyed a very memorable dining experience here. The location and views were perfect. We reserved a “Premium Table” and it was well worth it for the view of the setting sun, and watching the “Lights of Cabo” to flicker on. We did the 3 course tasting menu and all of it was delicious – from the Heirloom Tomato Salad and the Seared Scallops with serrano mayo to the Truffle Fettuccine and the Short Rib with red pepper polenta. And desert was equally special – we had the Ruby of Monalisa and the Lavender Cheese Cake – both excellent balance of flavors.
Add to all that the professional and attentive service and amazing views, and it all made for an outstanding dining experience, well worth the, albeit high, price.

I highly recommend you experience Sunset Monalisa when you are in Cabo. From start to finish the service, meal and atmosphere were top notch.
The views are amazing. Book well in advance for the sunset timing. Watching the sun set over the mountains was breathtaking.
Arturo and his waitstaff team were amazing. They made sure we were comfortable, answered all our questions, and even had some great food recommendations.

This place offers stunning view of the Pacific Ocean along with the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. The arch is a bit far out but definitely visible when the weather condition is good.
We made reservation with the premium seating and received a table right next to the edge without any other table between us and the view. It was truly amazing.
The service was good too as one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food is more subjective. I think the food was fine, not bad nor amazing but fine. We had the 3 course tasting menu with another 6 course tasting menu. Most of the dishes were fine but the grilled octopus was disappointing. It was rather bland without much of char taste.
Overall I think it is still worth a visit for the view.

The atmosphere is quite incredible. We saw a beautiful sunset while we sat at our table. A live band was playing and it fit the mood. I give the 5 stars to service and ambiance. I gave 4 stars due to my husband who had ordered the 6 course meal. The octopus was overcooked which made it very very tough and the last course was a filet, but maybe not the best cut. The waiter was very understanding and rectified the problem with a substantial discount. My meal was superb. I had a three-course meal oysters, sea bass, and a chocolate mouse with hazelnuts. It was excellent!! We will come back and would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

This restaurant has one of the best views in Cabo Sa Lucas. Many courses to choose from.
It has a large cocktail and wine list. Food was fantastic. Food choices are somewhat limited to course selection. You must prepay for a good table and the sunset time. I recommend booking five to six weeks ahead of time.

Unfortunately, you are very much paying for the view with this restaurant- which is incredible for sure. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, with gorgeous live music and a beautiful tiered balcony overlooking the ocean and arch. Doesn’t get much better than that.
But the food has much to be desired- we did the 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. The first couple of courses were ok- although they served the ceviche on a bed of salt (for presentation purposes), but is not practical for eating purposes as multiple of us dropped our bite into the salt, which ended in a very salty bite of ceviche.
The fish dish, truffle fettuccini and dessert were very good. The steak, octopus and lobster were all incredibly tough and overcooked, and most of us could barely finish them. I will say the portions are quite large for a tasting menu, so will give points for that.
The wine pairing was also mediocre, with none of the wines really pairing all that well. We would have preferred to just get a couple of bottles among the 6 of us, but the bottles were incredibly over priced for the quality of wine.
Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place unless you want an overpriced meal in a very beautiful location.
