I have been going to Potbelly for years, but first visit to this store. In short the food is delicious as always. Very high quality and made to perfection. The people there are wonderful and provide great service. My only issue with Potbelly in general is the cost. They are very expensive. The larger “A Wreck” sandwich is $13.40, a small cup of soup is $5, chips and a small drink is $4.40. With tax and a moderate tip, I was out the door for $26.90. I know that’s fairly normal for today’s food costs, but it was a bit shockingly high and makes me feel like I would think twice about going there again any time soon. The food was great though!
The store is clean and well kept. They hit on every level except value. I guess you get what you pay for. If you don’t mind spending $25+ for a nice lunch, this is a great place.

The manager Marissa and her team did a phenomenal job with our young adults in the transition program. Each one placed their order, told their toppings and paid at the register. They were kind, patience and accommodating to each and every one of them. Thank you for such a positive experience!

Clean sandwich franchise that serves good food. Always friendly and clean. Kids will get a big sandwich and eat half and bring the other half to school.
Shakes are pretty good. Brownie cookies are our favorite here. This is across from Panda in front of Best Buy.

Enjoyed our first visit to Potbelly’s since before the pandemic. Excellent service. Every employee double-checked our preferences on our food. So it was exactly as ordered.
Good sandwiches with several choices for vegetarians. We appreciated that the price is discounted if you don’t have meat, such as on the mediterranean.
I’d forgotten how thick the bread is, so the sandwich seemed a little dry. Next time I’ll have them add more toppings.
Seating area was clean. Also one of two trash bins included place to recycle bottles or cans, which was a nice surprise.

it took them 20 min to make my grilled cheese and my food sat there and they wouldn’t give it to me. i ordered 10 minutes then they took 15 minutes to make it in the store.

Bad experience here with Morgan supposedly the manager never had any bad experiences at any other establishments especially not the one in Algonquin so I guess I’ll have to drive further now since I’ve recently moved to South Elgin. This South Elgin location almost made it seem like it was a skin issue color but I’m a give the benefit of the doubt.

I enjoy Potbelly. No matter where I go, it tastes the same. Until my experience at this location. My sandwich, cookies as well as the service was dry and stale. I hadn’t eaten all day and I was ready for it. I asked if the cookies were fresh and was told that they were so I left, ate my sandwich which was dry (ordered everything on it) but was too tired to drive back for a remake. Then I got to my cookies and they were old, dry and stale. I drove back tired. When the manager came out to issue my refund, instead of an apology I received an admonishment as if I was lying. I couldn’t believe it. Do better. I won’t ever go to this location again.

First time coming here and last. They’re ordering system is very confusing and don’t walk you through it, they got annoyed I didn’t tell them what topping to put like how am I supposed to know I’m supposed to tell you every topping on there.
