I have been here at 4 or 5 times. Just found out they have been charging us for drinks but never received them at all. Shady business tactics. Check your bill. Also their food is very bland and the portions are insulting for the price.

Overpriced, small burritoes nothing like paying 13 dollars for a breakfast burrito that does not fill you up. Service was horrible, orderd the burrito no potatoes exta eggs, simple order, still got potatoes no extra eggs. Braught if to the ladys attention and she refused to make it right, claiming I never told her. They also charge you the fee for the credit card purchase. On top of that they do that annoying routine of asking for a tip before you ever get your order as if taking a walk up order, justifies an imediate tip…. steer clear unless you like marked up subpar food, with poor service.

The food was delicious and just the right portions. The taco salad was fresh and so was the flour tortilla my husband ordered. The place is clean and the staff was friendly and efficient.

The price board said $10.20 for my burrito. Total came to $14.50. Sales tax, 3.5% non-cash charge PLUS $1 for paying with a card and the burrito was $11.40 not $10.20. Bait and switch tactics and double charges. When i asked the lady about it she was rude and not understanding at all. I will NEVER go here again and advise you to do the same.

Disappointed today that the bean and cheese burrito I always order was a bit spicy so I couldn’t eat it. It’s usually not spicy at all. They make huge burritos! About $16.00 for only 2 burritos (sides and drinks cost extra.)
UPDATE: a few days later we returned and tried the 2 soft beef tacos, rice and beans. It was $23.10 for the 2 meals, no drink included. Meal was very good but the beans are just a bit spicy so I can’t eat them. There was no waiting in line. The cashier was friendly.

I like this quick Mexican food restaurant. They are friendly and consistently serve me good food. Been going since they opened here in Camp Verde.

A friend and I went to the Tavern Grille for lunch around 1:00 p.m. The place was packed. The last time I ate at this establishment was 6 years ago. At that time the food was fantastic! Not so much this time. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip with Lavosh crackers as an appetizer. The crackers amplified the full flavor of the dip. We loved it. That’s where the love ended. I ordered a cheeseburger with fry’s and havarti cheese. My friend ordered a BLT with avocado and fry’s. The cheeseburger was extremely dry with absolutely no flavor in the meat. It tasted charred. The fry’s were bland. They didn’t even taste like potatoes. My friend said her BLT with avocado was just “alright”. She said her sweet potatoe fry’s were over cooked and had “no taste”. I don’t know if the food was sub-par because the restaurant was so busy and the cooks were overwhelmed or if the quality of the food has declined. Or maybe it was a little bit of both. The service was top notch; servers were professional and just friendly enough. After much consideration, I will return to the Tavern Grille to give it the benefit of the doubt. As I said early in this review, 6 years ago the food was fantastic. Let’s hope they can duplicate the juicy, flavorful cheeseburger and fry’s I had back then!

I found a big black hair in my Super Nachos. Lost my appetite I was only 5 bites into my food. Waste of $15. Then my boyfriend lost his appetite and a waste of another $20. Everytime I get the shredded beef tacos lately the taste like soap. It’s really unfortunate because we have such limited restaurants in Camp Verde. I won’t be eating here anymore unfortunately
