I am a long-time customer at the Potomac location and I usually order a Large fries. Over the past several visits, the portion size has been noticeably smaller compared to what I consistently received in the past.
I asked in-store whether the Large fries portion had changed and was told there was no change, however the actual serving size no longer matches my previous experience at this location.
I wanted to share this feedback because Five Guys has always been known for generous fries, and this reduction is very noticeable to regular customers. I hope the portion standards at this location can be reviewed.

I always get carry out by it’s consistently the best. The fries are always hot, the burgers cooked perfectly to company standards and yeah, the staff are friendly and polite.

Saturday 11/22/24 update: raw fries again. I’m done giving them chances. No more five guys for this house. It’s a shame.
Thursday night I would’ve given them a 5 star for food, today (Saturday at lunch time), I’d give them a zero. Both times ordered through GrubHub. Today the fries are nearly raw, they’re so under cooked and the burger is just meh.

This place is the best Five Guys I’ve ever been in. Iris and all other staff are always nice and kind to their customers. I’ve got great moods and energy every time, whether I dined in or picked up. They are not only serving delicious foods, but they are also serving happy energy to customers. Can’t wait for the next visit.

This is a decent location for Five Guys – conveniently located in Potomac shopping area. The restaurant is cozy and does have a few tables near the entrance for outdoor seating. The location is also busy during meal times and are open until 10 PM on most days.
The staff is friendly too and helps you with the order if needed. Service is quick too and we have been able to get the food within 5 minutes. They do give you a hard time on getting more napkins for some reason!
The food is good – like other Five Guys. There is also a sack of peanuts waiting by the ordering counter that guests can dig in to while waiting for the food to arrive. It’s always fun to crack open peanut shells and make a mess when you do not have to do the cleanup later!
Our go to items are of course the burger (with cheese, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms), hot dog, and fries – gotta have them while they are hot!
The sauce on the burger is good too. Reminds me of In-and-Out burgers!
And two patties in the burger are better than one 🙂

Still love this place. The staff is great. It’s always clean and the food is prepared very well, even amongst other franchises.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed since having not been by here for a while is the revised fancy coke machines. More touchscreens and probably more flavors.
Updating after a recent visit. Lots of the same friendly faces. A talented cashier running two register simultaneously. Quick, prompt, fresh food and great service. Always recommend this location!. Easy accessible parking.

Can’t go wrong with a quality burger. If you like five guys, this location does a great job like the others. Food usually comes out quickly. Seating is fairly limited, but it’s never crowded and there are some outdoor seats. Not certain if every location is doing shakes at this point, but this location has shakes as well.

This has become my go-to Five Guys in the area. It’s usually not too busy, it’s very clean, and the workers are always nice. Five Guys burgers always hit the spot. I am usually get my burger done All the Way. Delicious. I had a milkshake here recently too and they are underrated!

3 stars for 5 Guys as a franchise. The fries are fabulous, the burgers not. The bun needs firmness, the cheese lacks flavor.
