Such a gem. We were walking by and wanted to look in. We decided to stay for a cocktail for my friend and tiramisu for me. It was heavenly. A large slice of tiramisu for $10. My friend had a disaronno sour for $10. Service was perfect. The music and ambience made us feel like we were in Italy. I will definitely come back for a full meal.

Nicko’s Grotto is located in a cool underground spot in downtown. They make good use of the space, with nice decorations and a generally good vibe. Service is acceptable but unremarkable, and the food, while there’s nothing explicitly wrong with it, is not particularly great. I could probably make spaghetti better at home.

Loved the vibe here. Loved that it was below street level. Great spot for a romantic evening. Delicious food, and amazing dessert. The service was attentive but not cloying, and did I mention dessert? Limoncello mascarpone cake and the flourless chocolate torte. We came back the second night for another slice of the limoncello cake.

This is a hidden gem! The food was super fresh and incredibly delicious! Literally everything we ate was exceptional! The service was outstanding! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The energy was comfortable and welcoming! The atmosphere was a little dated but it did not take away from this experience at all! I will be back and I will highly recommend this place to everyone!

My partner and I stayed in Port Townsend for Valentine’s Day weekend and had a wonderful dinner at Nicko’s Grotto. Excellent service with a warm and inviting ambiance.
We had the Valentine’s Day special bruschetta appetizer which was excellent; the caramelized onions, crispy shallots, and fig jam was an amazing combo. But the piece de resistance was the night’s ravioli special. Simple ricotta and spinach ravioli, coated in the perfect amount of cream sauce — the best cream sauce we have ever had.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent, romantic dinner.

Good cocktails, I had a Negroni, my wife an Old fashioned. The cheese bread is the bomb for an appetizer. Wife had the Gorgonzola Gnochi with fresh arugula. I had the tortellini with shrimp. Both excellent. Service was good as well. Would highly recommend.
