We always stop here for tacos and cocktails when we are in Nashville. The food, service, and ambience are fantastic! They have quite an extensive selection of bourbons and tequilas. We enjoyed the seasonal margaritas this time. Still can’t decide which we liked more, the cranberry ginger or the apple cider margs. Both were delicious! I tried the stuffed poblano and was literally blown away! It is my new fave at this restaurant and for $10, you can’t go wrong!

We walked in at lunch and were seated immediately. Our server was great. We loved the food and atmosphere. My favorite taco was the short rib. I’d definitely come back.

The tacos were good but can be better:
1. Fish or shrimp taco: 3/5 – good but toped the shredded plain cabbage without any sauce, thought it was supposed to be a slaw some sort…
2. Carnitas: 3/5 – the Carnitas was so dry.
3. Shortribs: 3/5 – was bland.
4. Guacamole: 3/5 – was ok, tangy.
5. Trio salsa: 4/5 – was good.
6. Anejo margarita: 3.5/5 – was good

Had high hopes for this place. We were the only people in the restaurant at lunch on a Sunday at 11:30. Hostess did not have the best attitude. Maybe this place was better a few years ago. The place seemed a little tired. Food looked great but tasted just OK. Our server was fine.

We stopped in for a late lunch and were seated right away. While the hostess wasn’t particularly welcoming, she did get us settled quickly. Our server, Delaney, was warm and attentive, which set a great tone for the meal. We started with the chips and guacamole (10/10) — fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight. We tried a variety of tacos; while most were just okay, the short rib and Baja shrimp stood out as our favorites. All in all, it was a good experience.

We were quickly seated by the waitress and had the premier table. Anna was our waitress. She was fabulous. We had a Paloma and Margarita along with the pollo, carnita, short rib, and El Pastor. We also did the salsa trio. All were fabulous! Would recommend!

One of, if not the best taco spot in Nashville. The Taco’s are all top tier. But my personal favorite are the chicken taquitos. The queso, chips and dip are top tier also. Of course the margaritas hit!

Bakersfield has a fun, laid-back vibe with a mix of country charm and Latin flair. The space is roomy, lively, and perfect for groups or casual hangouts. It strikes that sweet spot between rustic and trendy
️ Food & Drinks
Let’s start with the queso — hands down one of the best dips I’ve ever had. It was perfectly warm, seasoned, and rich. My only wish? That they’d serve a bigger portion because it disappeared fast.
The tacos were equally delicious. They’re on the smaller side, so I’d recommend ordering at least three and the mix-and-match options make it easy to try a variety.
Drinks were solid too, well-crafted and refreshing without being overdone.
Service & Hospitality
Our server was awesome, friendly, helpful, and spot-on with recommendations. They made sure we had everything we needed without ever hovering.
Unique Selling Point
The standout queso and customizable tacos make Bakersfield a go-to for casual bites with big flavor. Whether you’re stopping by for drinks and apps or a full meal, the energy and food make it worth the visit.

It is opened till midnight that is a huge plus. We drove into Nashville about 10pm for a conference and wanted Mexican so the hours are amazing for what you get both in food and atmosphere. If you have seen any of my reviews I was fortunate to live in St. Louis which has an amazing Mexican community and a vibrant culture of authentic Mexican cuisine. So when they said $3 tacos with some of the menu items including fish tacos I was excited and I was not disappointed, but I was not gliding on that magic cloud that you get when you bite into a delicious street taco. I had pork tacos as well and they were tasty. I think the winner was some kind of bbq pork taco and that was amazing. Also so the beans and rice were some of the best I’ve had although they were a bit $$$ they were worth every penny. Go here try it get margaritas we did. A pitcher of pineapple $45 but strong and there was a lot. We also really liked our server and the bar was beautiful. Check it out.

Great atmosphere downtown in Nashville.
Delicious food and drinks. We sat at the bar and I had the taquitos and a pitcher of Spicy Margarita with a buddy.
Nice and attentive staff, never left us waiting. Could do with waters being served as you’re seated and not have to ask – that’s the mark of 5⭐ service IMO. No stars against them though.
Also leave me a menu or drink menu nearby, I can’t casually order more stuff if you take it away.
