Just went here today after visiting Universal. Free parking. We were pleasantly surprised. We are from the Bay Area where there are a lot of hole in the wall Chinese restaurants, and this place is even better than some of them and can give those places a run for their money. It is small but clean, so just get your food to go. Great service. If you have not eaten at a lot of hole in the wall Chinese restaurants this is a good place to add. The prices were awesome. Get the combination meals. Very big portions. They will not disappoint. The dishes are nice, not salty, light with the right flavors in their sauces. We liked the Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp (though not too many walnuts). We will definitely buy here again if we visit LA again. As in most Chinese places, I hope they can keep it consistent.

We were starving after a day at Griffith Park, and stumbled upon this spot, it did not disappoint! The Chinese food was delicious, and the portions were huge.
The woman who helped us was very friendly. We also tried the mango and strawberry smoothies, they were just okay.
The ambience is decent, though it could be a bit cleaner.

The prices are reasonable. The portions are big, the customer service is good, and the restaurant is clean. But unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired.

I had their Black Pepper Chicken and the Crispy Honey Shrimp (don’t remember the exact name). The chicken didn’t taste like black pepper, and the shrimp was a bit gooey instead of crispy like Panda Express’ Honey Walnut Shrimp. The veggies however, looked quite fresh. A friend told me they have pretty good soups.

I sampled their BBQ chicken, and even that wasn’t all that special.

Come here if you prefer quantity over quality. For under $12, you can have a huge plate of food that can be divided into two meals.

The price is right and the portions are huge! The flavor and quality of the food was good for what you pay for. It is sitting in heating trays like at a buffet or Panda E, so it makes the serving process super fast. You definitely get your bang for your buck and I would happily return for some cheap eats if I were back in the area.

I’ve been coming to this establishment since 2003. It’s nostalgic every time. The food is always great with excellent service. Absolutely, love this place and it’s worth it every time. Everything is freshly cooked when they open by the great chef!
I highly recommend their CHAR SIU! It is my all time favorite. Amongst many other dishes here.

Must eat.
Panda Express comes nowhere near Maxim.
Got tons of food, variety of entrees to choose from and tasted absolutely superb.
With reasonable price? You can’t go wrong.
If you’re looking for chinese food near walk of fame, strongly recommend this place.

BBQ chicken was the GOAT.

Wanna go to LA just for this food fr

It’s just okay if not fresh. The BBQ Pork is already sliced, fatty, chewy with a funny smell, (like musk). The Beef Broccoli was good. The broccoli made the dish, the beef was extremely soft. The Spicy Orange Chicken was my favorite along with the BBQ chicken but on the small pieces, the larger pieces didn’t have enough flavor. Average Fried Rice and Chow Mein. It was a great amount for the price.

I have been looking for a good Chinese take out with authentic taste and they did not disappoint!!
Most places in my local area make you buy each entree by the plate. This place sells it by container or combo style. Food is made fresh – they have like 4 cooks in the back all OG’s cooking up the orange chicken , chow main , etc .
The staff is super welcoming and patient. They have big menu with tons of different options. I did the 2 item combo with double chow main, BBQ pork & orange chicken . It came out to $11 YOU SERIOUSLY CANT BEAT THAT!! The portions are HUGE!
The BBQ pork is tender, tasty and cooked to perfection. The orange chicken was delicious and chow main was truly authentic you can tell the food is made with care and quality ingredients.
They have a few tables inside if you choose to find in with condiments on the table.
They have boba and milk teas as well.

All around 5 star service and taste !
