The food was good on the sweet side. A large selection of food. Service was very fast.

Exceptional Chinese food! Cumin Beef is a standard part of our order & todays’ Pork rice noodles (wide noodles) was a first time try & will definitely feature in future dinners. Generous portions are accompanied by reasonable prices (especially when we usually can make another meal of leftovers. Haven’t tried their sushi/rolls/bentos since this is our go to for Chinese, but given the quality of their offerings we have tried, I would bet that it is also good. The interior has log cabin type walls (that would explain the 4 stars for atmosphere), the restaurant is clean and btw…I can’t eat decor, we go there for the food!

Always surprised at how fast we get seated and attended to. There were two large parties present and yet we got seated and served within 15 minutes. Food was good, noodles just a bit dryer than preferred. The booths were new feeling/looking and the place was clean and nicely decorated.

We got Christmas dinner to go and the place was slammed! They told me I could still order but it could take about an hour and a half. I expected this for Christmas day, so I was happy to come back for it. It ended up being ready in about 30 minutes! I was really impressed by how efficiently they worked through the dinner rush.
The beef rice noodle was super tender and the cashew chicken had lots of fresh veggies.

I decided to try a new place. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The sweet and sour chicken was exactly what I was hoping for, but the rice was a little lackluster for sure. My husband got the Kung Pao Chicken, and he said the only flavor came from the sauce itself. The chicken itself had absolutely no flavor. Food did come out very quick and the servers came, and left us alone which was very nice. The portion sizes are very good for the prices, but again the taste just wasn’t quite there for us.
If you’re wanting to try somewhere for Chinese American food, it’s a good start, but don’t go in hoping for the best. Very middle of road at the very most.

I’ve visited Family Garden many times and have always enjoyed it, but I recently had a disappointing experience. This is the second time I’ve found a hair in my food. After I informed the waiter, she took my plate and brought me a small bowl of fried rice. However, I was still charged for my meal and didn’t receive any discount.
I’ve always recommended this restaurant to others, but after this experience, I feel compelled to share what happened. It’s disappointing that the issue wasn’t addressed properly; all I got was a bowl of rice.

I have been coming to Family Garden for over a decade. The food is always consistently delicious, service is excellent (and very fast–great if you are in a hurry!), and the menu huge. I recommend trying some of the lesser-known dishes instead of the usual stuff (Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, etc.). I strongly recommend the hot pepper chicken, the cumin beef (or lamb or chicken) and the protein with string beans. Their kitchen always cooks to perfection, and I love that they don’t drown dishes in sauce.

Amazing food had a party of about 12 just walked in they had a table immediately for us. When ordering they nicely answered any questions we had on the menu. Food was out super fast we barley got the salads half eaten before the main courses came out . Food was delicious! Had enough for everyone and leftovers. Definitely stop here for some great food and service!

I’ve been here dozens of times over the years. The food is great and they have good portion sizes. They don’t mess around so your food will be ready quickly. The string bean chicken is excellent; I usually add mushrooms.

Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in the Tri-Cities, and yes, I know the competition is pretty low, but this place actually delivers. They have some truly authentic dishes, and their boiling beef (水煮牛肉) is a must-try. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving real Chinese flavors.
