If you’re looking for real Southern fried chicken in Montgomery, Clay’s is the truth! The chicken is seasoned to perfection—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor in every bite. The sides are just as good (don’t skip the mac & cheese or collard greens), and the sweet tea hits the spot. Staff is always friendly and the service is quick. This is that down-home cooking that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!

My first and last time going. I ordered 1 catfish basket, 1 shrimp basket with okra instead of fries, 1 whiting basket and 1 daiquiri which came out to $51. 28. I received tilapia instead of catfish. I called and was told to take a picture and show it to her tomorrow. She will decide whether to fix me another catfish basket. That was my fault for not checking the food before I left. I thought everyone knew the difference between catfish and tilapia. I ate 2 shrimps, some fries, and drunk the daiquiri. All of a sudden, my stomach started hurting. My stomach was tore up. The rest of those baskets are going in the trash. No more Clay Seafood for me.

Went by today!! Wait wasn’t that long. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. The lady taking my order was nice and inviting. Food was ok wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst either. I had a small seafood boil. I’m not counting them out I’ll revisit soon

Not a fan. I ordered two ten piece wings and fries no drink $28.67. Inside menu no details on wing flavors and the wait time for not even mediocre wings was very disappointing. The wings a big and chewy no flavor. I should have kept passing this place by.

Did the drive thru. The chicken was tasty but the sides were a little bit past their prime.

The WORST SEAFOOD I ever HAD IN LIFE. I spent over 50 bucks and was charged extra for using for a card. I ordered the shrimp basket with okra, one pound of crayfish and an alcoholic slushie. We will start with the best item the drink- taste like cough syrup and no buzz..at all
The shrimp basket was 10.99 for six Medicare non fresh tasting shrimp. I could have fried better at home. The okra was okay.
The pound of crayfish or crayfish(boil) were dry and full of oil but very flavorless with a little side of burnt. It’s like the fried it in grease with burnt onions.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! NASTY
