We’re famous for our fajitas and margaritas. Our margaritas are made with freshly squeezed lime juice, and our food is made fresh, from scratch every day. For added flavor, all of our meats are prepared over a mesquite grill. We’re open daily at 11 am and 9am for brunch Saturdays and Sundays. Join us for happy hour every day from 3pm to 6:30pm for great drink specials. We have live music on the patio Monday-Thursday* evenings 6pm – 9pm and Sunday 10:30am-2pm. It’s the closest thing to being in Mexico without leaving town!

I never thought a burger would be so delicious, yet this one was phenomenal! The price, although a little higher than the average non specialty burger was well worth it in value, quality, and freshness. Will definitely get it again!

When I tell you the Superior Grill on Government does not have to worry about me or my money anymore. I thought to night I would go tonight as a treat for myself as I had just went on Friday to the one on Highland. So side note the fajitas do not come with any type of cheese on them. So as I have always like in past I request shedded cheese and small sauce size like you would put catchup in there. So mind you to go orders already come with15% surcharge. I ask for the same thing I had Friday. The girls tells me no we can’t do that you have to get an order of queso for $10 dollars. So obviously I’m not doing that because I already paying $56 dollars for one meal with the surcharge and the $3.50 shredded cheese. But I decide I’m going to ask because $56 dollars plus charge that go to server the least I can get is a small sauce amount of quest plus I had already said no guacamole and it’s not like they substituted anything for that. Hey to the restaurant, I ask again. The same girl from the phone repeats same thing “oh we can’t do that, even if it that small I don’t know why. I was like well I will pay for it but just that size because I don’t want a pint just enough to put on my fajitas. She says ohh they want let us allow customers to pay for that either. I said well the one at highland don’t do that more did they charge me from shredded cheese or the small queso. So I said I will ask manager. I wait a few minutes. Same girl comes out and not manager with small sauce cup stating he said you can do it but for $5. You got to be freaking kidding me. Go from saying thy want let people pay for it to charging $5 for a little sauce cup. So I said find then can they take the $3.50 shredded cheese off. I wait a few more minutes for response girl come back say it’s already taken care of they adjusted the price on your card and proceeds to reach in my bag and get the shredded cheese out. When I tell you neverrrrrr again I mean that. If a place willing to charge 15% to go to staff and servers but not even will to prioritize customer service, then it’s not worth it. Next time o will spend my money where the price match the service.

Sooooo update: I addition to the audacity. I get home and realized they did not even add the beans that come with it. I looked in the tray and even recheck the bag. No beans. So I called. I was told I could come back for the beans to which I stated yall are 27 minutes away. In addition to that my food would have been cold if I decided to that. So they girl tells me hold on a second (I will credit that I don’t believe she was ever the problem and just had to be the face of terrible management). So after wait she said there are no manager there. I said wait so there are no closing managers? She perceived to say there is one but he can’t come right now he is on the patio dealing with customers. He said just call back for the general manager in the morning. You got to be kidding me. Am not I a paying customer too. The second time the manager would not address me as if he felt like my request were not worth his time. When I tell you please go other places where you will be treated way better. I also added the picture for reference. Mind you I haven’t ate yet because the experience has definitely ruined my appetite.

Always love superior- being from Shreveport and growing up eating there makes the one in BR really feel like home. I LOVE everything on the menu (no kidding). But watch out for those 2 for 1 margaritas; back in the day, they used to be a little too much for me. The live music and atmosphere is fun, inviting, and a great social experience

I had pork ribeye fajita special. Do NOT recommend. Nothing special about it whatsoever. My stomach has been killing me all day since I ate them. Me and a friend of mine both got the same meal, each had a glass of tea, and shared some chips, salsa, and queso. Came out to a whopping $90! Should’ve ate at Salt grass steakhouse for that. I will stick to superior grill for their DRINKS ONLY Our waiter was very polite and attentive though, even with the huge dinner rush.

Very friendly staff, polite and well mannered.
Lots of selection for food, extensive specials list.
The quality of the food is fantastic, with superb quantities for the price.
The only issue I had was worry about my drink spilling because the table cloth is covering a soft table surface, but I was of two minds on that component because I enjoyed the soft surface for resting my wrists on it, so the worry about spilling wasn’t that high. And, since nothing spilled, then the fears weren’t realized.

This place gives me Papasitos vibes. The building, the white table cloths, nice silverware, and definitely the pricing. Unfortunately that’s as good as it gets. The rice, beans, tortillas, chips and salsa are all very basic. No way this didn’t come off a Sysco truck. I ordered the lunch special Mesquite Fajita. The fajita was actually very tender. No complaints there. But, the mesquite flavor was minimal and barely noticeable. Service was a little disjointed. As nice as the staff was, I’m not seeing a return visit in my future.

Okay so I went last night , me & my kids around 9:30 10 for a quick bite , I had just got off and didn’t feel like cooking . Got two kids meal , nachos & 3 tacos . Bill came to about 112$ . Which is CRAZY… and a nice bite if that’s went to Gratuity , and the service was not worth that …. Took about 20mins for somebody to even come to our table , & she for got one of the kids meals … so unfair , let me tip how I want . And according to service …

I have long loved Superior. I had an old friend from out of town so I suggested we meet here for its lively, colorful atmosphere. I found the atmosphere, however, seated against the back wall near the kitchen was not ideal as it is dark and only LOUD. We ordered and our drink was brought immediately. Our appetizer soon followed and then our entree. We had hardly placed our napkins down when our check was presented. We paid and tipped generously- despite not having any warm interaction with waitstaff. 10 minutes after paying, our waitress measly and quite curtly suggested we leave due to ” long waitlist”. I was appaled. I feel disrespected, degraded and terribly embarrassed. I have been dining out in Baton Rouge for 60 years and NEVER has this happened to me, EVER We occupied the table for 1.25 hours. I caution others, especially older ladies like myself.
