The staff at this location are rude and completely out of touch with reality. Did you know that Popeye’s has access to chickens that produce wings that are dark meat? Yeah, I am just as surprised as you! Didn’t know it was a genetic possibility. I walked in after a VERY long day, ordered at the kiosk, as directed because they do not interact with customers, ordered a 3 piece all dark meal (receipt attached). My meal came out with a leg, thigh, and wing (and cold greasy fries which I did not eat, picture attached). Before even touching the chicken I got the attention of a staff member and pointed out the error. They looked at me like I had horns and pointed to their screen over the food prep area which showed a thigh, leg, and wing. I explained that the kiosk only indicated all dark and I did not choose the pieces. I further explained that wings are white meat. The child behind the counter stared at me with her vacant expression and said “so what do you want?” I replied, my third piece of dark meat. She then laughed with her coworkers and stated, “at Popeye’s wings are dark meat”. I said, “oh, so Popeye’s purchases SPECIAL chickens!” to which she replied “yes!”
To top off this whole encounter, we paid $30 for crappy service and chicken portions that looked like they came off of pigeons AND it made me sick a few hours later. Be warned, avoid this place like the plague!!!!
This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I’m sharing the photos of the employees involved so management understands exactly who I’m referring to.
While I was waiting in the drive-thru, the woman working the fast-food window told me to “wait a moment.” She assumed I didn’t speak Spanish and said through the microphone, “estos estúpidos no saben qué significa esperar” (“these idiots don’t know what it means to wait”). I stayed calm and waited until I reached the window, then I told her that this is not how you treat customers and that they earn their paycheck thanks to people like us who choose to buy here.
She immediately slammed the window in my face and called the man in the photo. He came acting aggressive, trying to speak to me in a disrespectful and intimidating way. Honestly, completely unprofessional behavior. After that, the woman even made a phone call to bring someone else over, making the whole situation even worse.
These employees are incompetent, disrespectful, and clearly not trained to handle customers. This is without a doubt the worst Popeyes in Orlando.
From the moment we arrived, the service was substandard. We were made to wait at the speaker, which appeared to be an intentional tactic to prevent negative time on your system’s clock. When we reached the window, the team member who assisted us was openly rude and unprofessional.
The worst part, however, was the food. What we received was cold, bland, and of such poor quality that we would not have fed it to our dog. This was not merely disappointing, this was a complete failure in quality, food safety, and customer care. We have visited numerous Popeyes locations over the years and have never encountered anything close to this level of negligence. This location needs to be investigated
