The Upstate Lounge is easily one of the most exciting new spots to hit Hartford / West Hartford in a long time. The vibe walks this perfect line between fresh and nostalgic, like a brand new bar that somehow already feels like it’s been your favorite neighborhood hang for years.
The $3 beers alone are reason enough to stop in, but the real surprise is the food. The menu is packed with upstate New York inspired comfort food and everything is priced incredibly well. It’s the kind of place where you can actually grab a few drinks, eat well, and not feel like you got hit with a massive bill.
The staff is an absolute all-star crew. Everyone is friendly, fast, and clearly enjoys being there. The owner is also constantly on the floor greeting guests and jumping in wherever help is needed, which says a lot about the place and the culture they’re building.
Late night food until midnight and hours until 2 AM on the weekends makes it even better. Whether you’re looking to catch some punk music, slam a few beers, or just hang with friends over good food, The Upstate Lounge delivers.
