The food was good, the flavor is light (not too spicy or too aromatic) which makes it palatable to different people’s tastes. People seem to do a lot of takeout here so there were lots of pick up. The staff were friendly and service was fast.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday, and it was fairly quiet when we arrived. There were two staff members at the front. First, I want to say the food was absolutely delicious. It was our first time visiting, and we would definitely come back again.

I do think the customer service experience could be improved. When we walked in, we weren’t greeted right away and had to ask if we could sit. We also had to ask for a menu and were pointed to where they were instead of being handed one. Small touches like greeting customers warmly, asking if it’s their first time, and whether they are dining in or ordering takeout would make a big difference.

During our meal, no one checked in to see how everything was or if we needed anything. When we were finished, we had to get up and go to the front to ask for boxes for our leftovers and to request the bill. With two staff members present, it would have felt more welcoming if one had seated us, checked in during the meal, and assisted us through checkout.

That said, the food truly stood out, and I’m glad we discovered this place. With a few improvements in customer service, this restaurant could offer an exceptional dining experience all around.

I went here at my friend’s recommendation. she tried it and it was great when she tried it. More than 4 years ago but whatever has happened since then , everything is downhill.
Amala has balls of uncooked amala
Pounded yam has pieces of unpounded yam in it.
$5 for small piece of goat meat…goat is 4.99/lb how dies this work.
The worst part $30 for undercooked talipia fish HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?
WASTED OVER $100. Threw the entire fish away. This is the only nigerian only spot in this county and I will not return.

The Jelloff rice was absolutely disgusting; it was like eating canned tomato sauce mixed with rice. I was extremely disappointed. I, myself, as an American, make Jelloff rice better by following a YouTube video. I had Jelloff one other time from a location in East Hartford, and it tasted similar to what I ate when I visited Ghana and what my Ghanaian friend makes on occasion. This was not about Ghana vs. Nigeria; it was about how this dish tasted just like canned tomato sauce mixed with rice.

I usually order from here all the time, but lately it’s been lacking flavor. They also don’t leave much soup.. like where is the liquid of the soup? I have nothing to add flavor to my poundo and the poundo is loose.. this is my last time ordering from this restaurant. These restaurant after a while just don’t care how the food comes out.. they just want money.. won’t get another dime from me!!!

This place is a joke! The food is good don’t get me wrong but their pricing is ridiculous. The hollow rice by itself is $7 then each meat is $3. This is supposed to be assorted meat. I paid an extra $9 for this mess. I’m so disappointed they have to do better. So you’re telling me you get all this rice and and this foolishness is meat? Going through the comments it’s a common thing people are complaining about so they need to do better. I also don’t like that they don’t show you before bagging it up that way you can make your complaints right there. I’m so disappointed and it’s a shame because the food is actually good.

The Egusi was extremely watery, which I’ve never experienced before. In addition, I don’t understand why meat has to be purchased separately, this is the U.S., where customers generally expect protein to be included with their meal. Charging extra for basic additions feels stingy and takes away from the value. Lastly, the fried rice had an off taste, almost like it was made with something artificial. Overall, I was disappointed and hope improvements are made to both quality and portioning.
