The restaurant was decent. Upon walking in, you are immediately in a classic French restaurant and the atmosphere was good.

The Escargot was amazing! Buttery, herby, and delicious. I would definitely order it again.

The Foie Gras was good too. It was a light and flavorful bite.

The Roasted Duck was ok. It is served medium rare/rare and the fat wasn’t rendered down, so it was quite chewy. The sauce was one note and didn’t taste like much, so I wouldn’t order it again.

I appreciate the waiter trying his best to go out of his way and help an English party in a French restaurant. However, he was quite short with us and made comments under his breath.

Overall, it is your normal French restaurant, and I wouldn’t race to recommend it to someone in the area.

Chez Paul is a uber classic French old school bistro with a warm and a tad rough around the edges (in a good way) wait staff. There is very little chance for you to ever leave this place hungry: the portions are extremely generous, the sauces will stick to you bones and you get extra point if you are inclined to try the non-conventional part of the animal. The place can accomodate small parties and large parties. I recommend to make a reservation if you are more than 2 people.

Looking for a truly authentic Parisienne Bistro? Fantastic food in this relaxed and characteristic Bistro! My starter was so delicious… foie gras with pear that been steeped in wine, my main course was a wonderful fillet steak with a very tasty butter and dessert which was an effort to finish the profiteroles in a rich chocolate sauce..
I can’t wait to come back. Perfect place for a dinner meeting or any occasion

Great service and overall a very good experience.
The food was good and reasonably priced. If you’re not big on spice, beware! the sauce au poivre is no joke (I loved it though).
Sides? The gratin dauphinois was really good ; fries… not so much.
The frisée aux lardons was good – just ask for extra sauce!
My mom loved the tarte fine à la tomate and she’s not wrong, it was delicious.
The poireaux vinaigrette was kinda meh.
And honestly, any restaurant that serves profitéroles never disappoints 🙂
Good spot for a nice meal out!

Really tasty traditional French cuisine. Super cheap, too! The portions were big, the place is cozy and the staff is cordial. It was recommended by a local friend and I can see why, it’s really a must visit!

Our tour group ate dinner here and it was excellent. All the courses were perfect, the owners were delightful and the service was friendly and accommodating. My husband loved the pate which reminded him of his French grandmother’s recipe.

Went here as a be my guest experience and it was my first taste of Paris and didn’t disappoint. The chef welcomed us with and apertivo, followed by the most delicious meat Pate en croute, Beef bourguignon, cheese plate, and cream
Puffs with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Wine and atmosphere topped it off. A must visit while in Paris!

Went there specifically for Calf’s head stew and was not disappointed. It was prepared perfectly and served with a tasty Gribiche sauce. The wine (Beaujolais) was underwhelming though. Service is efficient and friendly though they should warn customers of the hot pot handles that can burn your fingers!

Food:
The Confit Duck was very garlicky and the potatoes were like chips (quite hard and crispy outside and soft inside). The snails were very good and comes with a 2 pronged fork. Similar to what we had before. The Onion Soup was okay, no specific verifications.
Drinks:
The Coca-Cola was 4,80€ and water free of charge (tap water).
Service:
The service was quite quick and the waiters were patient, kind and very friendly.
Toilet:
I personally found the toilet quite small, and men and woman were in the same cubicles. Taps were only cold water.
Atmosphere:
Good vibes, seating on two sides of the pavement with umbrellas and when it got dark, lights were added.
Overall, I would recommend this.
