I was looking for some good gumbo and this place didn’t disappoint. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. He had the thin sliced catfish and it was so light and crispy. I had the blue crab claws, and they were delicious!! The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

I was in town for work from OKC and ate here two days in a row for lunch. The first day I had their special of 1/2 shrimp po’boy and gumbo then the next day their stuffed crab BLT and fries. Both meals were delicious and plentiful. Their service and friendliness was just as great! Their parking can be an issue but they told me they’re building a brand new building across the street which looks double in size for both their building and parking. Great food and great customer service combined are hard to find these days and that comes from someone that travels for a living!

Good restaurant. I got the shrimp and oyster platter. Lots of food and it was very good. The fritters and onion rings were very good. Parking is limited.

The place isn’t much to look at, but they’re apparently building a new building across the street so I’m sure it’ll be better in the future, but that doesn’t really matter. This was by far the best value meal I had on my recent visit to Louisiana. Gigantic portions of delicious seafood and sides at great prices. We easily stuffed five hungry people for like $100, and everything we got was delicious. I particularly love this style of onion rings, which seem hard to find. The thin catfish and okra also just hit the spot nicely. I think I’ve found a new can’t-miss place for my Louisiana visits!

1st timer here with my sister from Idaho. Raised in Maryland and miss blue point crabs, which were absolutely full and nice size # 1’s.
Ladies were super helpful with helping us navigate the extensive menu and options. Boiled shrimp were huge, and crawfish were a nice size. I personally would have liked more seasoning, but overall, I would absolutely recommend it.

The gumbo was great… I wish the whole filet was cleaned of fat. But it too was very good. The shrimp are excellent. Been going since I was in junior high. (They were in the little building by MJH) Glad the quality has stayed pretty consistent. I love Mandeville Seafood.

We love this place but over the past 2 weeks the food and service has been awful. It took over 40 minutes to get our order and the food was cold and burnt. Photo attached

Parking lot was small and full. Building is half seafood market and retail and the other half is restaurant. Both sides were well maintained and clean. We ordered take out on their website and picked up. Food was ready when we got there and order was accurate. Both the shrimp and Ferdie po-boys were fresh and flavorful but not quite as large as some other places. We also picked up a few large blue crabs ($5 each) at the seafood market that were seasoned perfectly. Overall value was good and I would recommend to others especially on Sundays when many other po-boy spots nearby are closed.

I wanted a softshell crab po’ boy, but there weren’t any at that point. I ordered a seafood platter instead. Just before my meal arrived, some soft shells were delivered, so I added one. Everything was delicious. Quite a few people were eating boiled shrimp and crawfish, and I had planned to return the next evening to try some. I got there the next evening too late, the market was closed.
