It all started in the kitchen when the Armenta family came to Utah from Guanajuato, Mexico. Mama brought with her the wonderful recipes that have been in the family for generations. A blend of secret ingredients, strict attention to freshness and quality have been the foundation of the tradition of good cooking you will find at Mi Ranchito. It was Papa, though, who had the idea to involve the whole family and create a truly special restaurant. The entire family pitched in and helped in the first Mi Ranchito when it opened in Orem, Utah back in 1983. Manuel and Senorina Armenta eventually shared the responsibility of running Mi Ranchito with their sons and daughters.

This place is phenomenal, it’s hard to find real authentic flavors and taste, but they knocked it out of the park. The Horchata… incredible, by far the best I’ve ever had. The tacos rival some of the best I’ve had as well. We’re definitely coming back next time we’e in town.

I’ve gone twice in one week! Yvette served me today (fajitas) and she Rocks! Talia served me the first time a few days ago (chile relleno, enchilada and two tacos) and she rocks too! The food is absolutely amazing! I had the three meat fajitas! I ate them ALL! I highly recommend!

Wendy was our server and she is AMAZING! She is such a delight, and so hard working. The food was quite tasty – I had the chili verde and my husband had the tacos al pastor. The restaurant was extremely clean, but there was a strong cleaning agent smell inside. It gave me a bad headache but we had seen good reviews and wanted to stay. Perhaps we came at a time where they super deep clean. We’d like to return and try more things on the menu. Hopefully the smell won’t be as strong.

I had a good experience here today. This restaurant offers a wide variety of items. The food tasted great. The service was great. The server was attentive and friendly. Plus, my food came out quickly.
They also had a football game in the background to watch.
I love that this restaurant offers a daily lunch special on Sundays, which made my decision on what to order easier. Most restaurants don’t do that.
Overall, this is a great place to visit.

This place used to be good, now its just sad and underwhelming. Server was impatient, also never came back to see if we wanted refills on our drinks. Food was worse, i ordered a quesadilla and 75% of the plate was overly watery refried beans, the quesadilla itself was burned and half full, most bites were just tortilla.

Classic Mexican sit down restaurant. My table enjoyed our entrees but it did seem a little expensive. $13 for a bean and cheese burrito. Wouldn’t recommend the fried ice cream and it wasn’t our favorite. The beans deserve a chefs kiss though very tasty.

We just had a Fantastic dinner at the American Fork Mi Ranchito Mexican grill. This restaurant is super clean and it is a beautiful updated restaurant. It has great local owners, a friendly staff, and Miguel, our server, was absolutely amazing and did a top notch job from start to finish!! The food was so awesome-we had cheese enchiladas and amazing steak fajitas!!! The portion sizes were so big-we definitely didn’t leave the restaurant hungry! It was such a great meal! Thank you Miguel, our server, all team members and the owners for sharing a great restaurant experience for us! I have known the local owners for over 20 years and they care about serving incredible food, creating a fun atmosphere and they care about their staff and customers. We will definitely be back very soon!!! My wife and I would give this restaurant 6 stars!!!
