This place is warm and inviting, I love the fire place, we had been out watching softball in the damp cold and rain, so walking into the warmth of this place was awesome! The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our huge party of around 30 people. Our orders were taken quickly, drinks were never empty, and despite the huge group, our food came in a reasonable amount of time. Our family all had burgers and they were perfect!!! We all prefer medium rare and it is honestly very rare that they come that way at any restaurant, here at Monk’s they were absolutely perfect! We would definitely eat here again, and it is absolutely at the top of my list for food, service and warm welcoming family friendly environments

We had a great experience at Monk’s! My old fashioneds were great as well as my bowl. There were some unruly kids literally running around but thankfully they left shortly after that and it was quieter once they left so we could enjoy ourselves better. Our server was Alex and he was so very attentive and friendly.

Burger cooked over luked warm temp. Mac and cheese tastes like plastic bags, they probably cooked them in the bag. Diarrhea afterwards. Would have had a cheaper, better and cleaner meal at Burger King

Tried the Monk’s in Sun Prairie and had a great experience. Becky was our server and she was spectacular! Could not have been nicer. We both had cheeseburgers done to order. They offered a cucumber and hummus side instead of fries or chips. Great option. Nice and light. Kudos to whoever put that on the menu.

My son ordered the crispy chicken Mac and Cheese, it was one chicken tender sliced up over luke warm Mac and cheese. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese that was also luke warm and didn’t taste good, she only took 3 bites. My bf got the taco salad and said the beef tasted like it was meant for chili and got the fried pickles which were spears and they were mushy. I got the southwest chicken wrap and it was ok. Our bill came to $85!! Definitely not worth the price. The waitress never came back for us to pay the bill, we went up front and the man stated we needed to pay with the waitress, in which she hadn’t came back to the table for us to be able to pay. Overall a very poor experience and will not be going back. We also went right as they opened, food should have been fresh and hot which makes me feel like it was leftover from the previous day and just microwaved.

It’s a modern bar restaurant. The food didn’t make my senses go crazy like watching a monkey with a banana, but it was good. As with so many restaurants, the prices are high (I’d give it 3.5 stars based on price). All four of us liked our food enough. I’m too old to say it’s trendy, but it has that feel. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. If you’re cheap like me, I’d probably start somewhere else.

Nice place. I had a bacon cheese burger with Swiss cheese, Lorri had the Jalapeno bacon. As you can see, we were already halfway thru our meal before I remembered to review it for y’all. The fries are beer battered. At first, I didn’t think the batter thing would make a difference … it DOES. The tots? I didn’t find them spectacular. Tasted like the grease needed changed. Otherwise the burgers were great.

I make the 1 hour drive at least once a month because the burgers are that DELICIOUS! I grew up going to the original Monk’s in the Dell’s and I would make that drive often too but I’m glad there’s somewhat of a closer location to me You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! We get John often as our waiter and he is FABULOUS! Always great service when we have him!

The bartender was ok very anti social. The food was horrible. Burger was tiny for $16 bland fries and my wife got the French dip for $16 and also very bland huge chunks of beef not shaved. The only good part was the pretzels .
