The food is good and the sushi fresh. I regularly frequent this establishment on a monthly basis and they always deliver in terms of quality price.
The all you can eat is always my go to option as I know I will have a blast of good food and good service.
The highlights for me were definitely the shrimp tempura rolls and the classic California rolls—both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was attentive and efficient, making the whole experience nice.
A fun and unexpected touch was the robot server that brought food to the table instead of a human! It added a modern and entertaining twist to the meal.
Overall, Sushi Village is a great spot for sushi lovers looking for variety, quality, and a little something unique.
I’m a loyal customer. PLEASE stop sending me old salmon sashimi through Uber Eats.
If you’ve ever wondered what sushi tastes like after a long day of reflection in the fridge, this is the place. The rice had a very “structured” texture, and the fish offered a unique mystery flavor I couldn’t quite identify.
Presentation was confident, quality was… ambitious.
To be fair, it did help me appreciate every other sushi restaurant in the city a lot more. A very educational meal.
You’d order 20 pieces of salmon, and get 10, you’d order 10 more and it would never arrive, you’d order it again.. and it wouldn’t arrive again. You’d order squid or tuna sashimi and it never came. You’d order tobiko nigiri, never came. We were there for approx. 3 hours, and for 1 entire hour, another 30-40 minutes we did not get any food that we ordered.
Staff were friendly, and mostly attentive but it is obvious they were very understaffed and disorganized. I feel bad for them, myself and other patrons were rightfully getting a bit upset, but poor management is at fault. Ultimately, I think they should stopped accepting customers if they were not able to accommodate their existing guests and should have provided a discount given we did not get to experience the dinner menu as most of the dinner dishes did not arrive.
Overall, I think any other AYCE spot would be better. Have not experienced this at Ten, Hokkaido, 168 or the other spots.
I was very puzzled of why they had a high tech serving robot yet an antiquated ordering system by paper.
I was told that “this is Rideau street” which means a lot of tge ordering tablets go missing…
