Great food. Even better portions when you dine in. Only one waitress but very fast and friendly. I usually finish all my food, but this time I needed to take the rest home. Combination plate comes with soup. Will go again. My orders are on pic. Very good.

Great food. The wife and I share a meal and it’s always plenty. They only have one lady waitressing but man she is fast. She has like this 3 tier cart and she is good even when it’s crowded

I dined at China Bowl Restaurant and ordered the #8 Almond Chicken Combination which came with fried rice, your choice of soup and a egg roll. The portions were generous. Almond Chicken was crispy and hot. The wonton soup was very good and hot including the dumplings, vegetables and the broth. The egg roll was hot and crispy. The whole dinner was very good. The price was slightly high (about $17.44 including tax).

We ordered the #3 Sweet and Sour Ckicken with a side of almond gravy. I prefer the usual sweet gravy. The chicken was juicy and the gravy was very flavorful. In fact my husband thought it was the best almond gravy he’s had in a long time. He finished his Egg Drop Soup so quickly that he should have ordered the quart. The fried rice was tasty too. I forgot to order the Crab Rangoons. Next time!
Also of note, #3 meal feeds at least three people. Delicious and economical.

First time customer and dined in with my husband. I ordered General Tso’s chicken dinner #21. It was cold when it arrived to the table, half of the chicken was cooked ok, but half was overcooked and very dry. Same as the rice. Half of the rice tasted burnt, and half was ok. Under the top layer of the rice, you could see where it was mixed together. The sauce was not spicy, very mild. My chicken noodle soup had a strange taste and the chicken was rubbery and squeaky on my teeth. Never experienced that before. I did not eat the rest. My husband ordered the almond chicken dinner and told me that it was ok but lacked flavor. He liked his egg drop soup and the little crackers (with and without the sugar) though. He also did not want my chicken noodle soup.
While the waitress was talking our order, she hit a fly on the wall with her order book. There were little gnats flying all over our area. The wall next to us was absolutely filthy (see picture). My husband said the men’s bathroom was also disgusting and needed cleaned. All of their supplies (placemats, silverware, to-go boxes, etc) were sprawled out on a table in the main dining room. It looked cluttered and was right next to where the waitress hit the wall to get the fly.
I was surprised to see that the restaurant was as busy as it was based on our first experience. Perhaps it was an unusual experience, but we will not return. You do receive a lot of food for your order, but the amount of food doesn’t matter when it’s not something you want to eat. I’m disappointed because the reviews were mostly positive for this place, which what helped make our decision to go here.

I visited for the first time & ordered take out from right around the corner for 2 different dishes plus some appetizers. Sesame chicken & sweet & sour shrimp, pretty basic staples. They both were soggy & rubbery with very little flavor. The fried rice was just….soy rice? No real flavor or vegetable in it. The portions were huge & looked good, I will say that. It’s a lot of food. Just not good food. The crab rangoons & egg rolls were surprisingly fresh, though. Not greasy, good crisp, & the veggies in the egg roll had a great crunch rather than the mush most have. The pineapple & peppers in the sweet & sour sauce was tasty & unique & how I managed to eat what I did of the dishes. The woman taking my order was very sweet & helpful, maybe dining in would be a different experience. OH OH, I also got hot sour soup & that was actually amazing.

This was honestly the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. The beef was so tender it melted like butter. Egg drop soup and wonton soup were both amazing. Lived the wonton crisps that came with it (some sweet and some salty!). Easily got 2 meals out of it. Great service, they were really moving making sure everyone was taken care of. This place is out of my way, and I will happily be driving past many Chinese restaurants to eat here.

You would think fulfulling a craving for dine-in Chinese food on an early Sunday afternoon would be easy. Thanks to two places closer to my home being confirmed closed when their Google listing had them as open, China Bowl was the day’s winner, and I’m glad it was. The egg rools were hot and crispy; the chicken rice soup was fresh and flavorful; and the pepper steak, General Tso’s chicken, vegetables, and fried rice were on point – very tasty, but not overpowering with salt or other flavors. There were two women working their tails off in the front of the house dealing with an increasing number of dine-in customers and carry-out orders. (Bonus points to the little boy running around and passing out fortune cookies and other items. He was cute and generated a few laughs with his infectious smile.)
China Bowl is clean and updated, but not overdone with decorations. The only reason I’m giving four stars for atmosphere is because one table was filled with empty carry-out boxes, napkins, etc., and similar items were found on tables in another area of the dining room. Maybe that’s necessary because of the size of the room, but, in my opinion, those items should be hidden from diners. I’ll definitely be back – and soon!

China Bowl is a nice sit down Chinese restaurant that has become rare since the pandemic. The food is good, the value is great, and the portion sizes are large. Lunch specials run $10-11 and are a great value for the money. Soup and egg roll are included with lunch or do as I did and ordered from the lunch menu without the egg roll and received a huge portion of General Tso. The huge portion of sesame chicken that my children ate consisted of all white meat chicken. Absolutely delicious! Check out the China Bowl, I think you will find it satisfying and familiar.
