Came here for a drag brunch on Sunday and it was so fun! The stage and tables are perfectly set up so you can interact with the entertainers, the music was audible and loud– got us ready to dance! The food was good and the drinks were good, especially the pineapple mimosa. The brunch shot tasted a little like cough syrup so that may have been my least favorite drink, but everything else is great! Not to mention, you could tell the servers were pros and did a phenomenal job of balancing our orders with the entertainment.

This place always has solid food. It’s not over the top good but it’s always solid. On Sunday nights they have a guy who makes balloon animals for the kids! So super kid friendly he is only there 5-7 and he comes to every table. Highly recommend if you have kiddos to check it out Sunday night.

Had an amazing experience at Summer Shack! The food was great, but what really made the visit unforgettable was the staff. Came for Saturday comedy night. Food was good, service was timely considering the crowd. Atmosphere was awkward — uneven lighting (especially on the stage; some of the comedians noted the harsh light), seating was dense, and the overall crowd seemed cold. I did not factor atmosphere into the overall rating since we sat in the function room and not the restaurant proper, which is much more open and cozy.

Absolutely delightful food backed up by excellent service. Special mention should go to the steamed mussel appetizer with garlic herb butter — it was so good that when we got the clam bake (also excellent) we ignored the butter sauce that came with the lobster and just dipped the meat in the leftover mussel butter. Shoutout our server as well, Junior A., for his attentive service!

Despite living in this area since before, summer shack was opened, I had never eaten here. I was under the impression that it was a loud commercial chain type restaurant. I was very wrong. I ate here with friends who have been coming regularly for years. The food was incredibly fresh, well prepared, and well presented. I found the prices to be reasonable in light of the quality of the food. In addition to some wine and a dessert, I had oysters on the half shell and the day’s special grilled bluefish. Our server, Pablo, was fantastic. I’m sure my experience would not have been as wonderful without him. He was pleasant, appropriately attentive, and knew the menu very well. He was patient in explaining the menu, for example the variations of oysters and the unique flavors. He is an asset to the restaurant. I will definitely return and bring friends when looking for delicious fresh seafood.

I came here a couple years ago and fell in love with the seabass; it was so good I’ve been craving it ever since. I recently stopped in for lunch, hoping to have the same experience. It wasn’t busy, but the bartender wasn’t very friendly when I asked about the dish. Thankfully, the hostess was kind and helped explain the menu; she let me know it changes often and recommended the swordfish.
Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to what I remembered. The fish wasn’t hot; the texture and flavor were off; and I couldn’t finish it. I ended up wasting $35. The indoor space also felt too dark for my taste; though I did like the option of outdoor seating. Overall, it just didn’t meet the standard I experienced before.

The steak and grilled octopus were delicious! The shrimps were good but I didn’t like the dish to be wrapped in plastic mesh bag.. what’s the point of adding unnecessary plastic to food?
Service was good, fast serving. Will visit again but will not order the plastic wrapped shrimps again.
