There are 40-something places in Sioux Falls to get a pizza, but this is the only one that has a sourdough crust! Let me tell you this is the who’s who in town when it comes to Italian done right. Chef Napolitano has found a place in my heart with his humble, personable nature which carries over into the beauty of his restaurant’s atmosphere and into the delicious food he prepares. The juke box added that final touch earning the coveted 5th start I rarely can say a place dissevers. Here is proof you do not need to be Italian to be a part of the family.

Meet all my expectations! I went based on all the amazing reviews and knew I had to try this pizza place. I had stumbled across this location due to the different crust option “the crust-is Bredico Sourdough” and it was amazing! I had 3 slices and wasn’t left with the heavy bloated stomach aftermath. I can’t say enough of how clean the restaurant is and how friendly the whole staff is. Even the owner and owners son stopped by our table to insure we felt at home. 100% recommended it!

The most important thing about pizza is the crust. The crud here is so good. I loved the pizza at Breadico so I went in with almost unreasonably high expectations and was surprised that they were surpassed. We had the Vito Bruno which was just dynamite. It is the best pizza in town and it’s not even close. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, the food delicious. If there is one thing that could be picked on its that the lighting is weird. It’s oddly bright inside. Like it’s so bright it started to bother my eyes quite a bit. I’ll be back, maybe with my sunglasses on next time.

Pizza is really good, but the prices are the highest i’ve ever seen. $20 is the cheapest you’ll get a large pizza for and that’s with no meat.

2024 edit: Pizza is delicious, prices are fair, but wait times are very long and the ventilation in here is terrible. We waited almost 20 minutes for a pizza and there were only maybe 2 parties ahead of us. Either way, it’s worth the wait. The primo carnera is a MUST try!

Pizza Di Paolo is an outstanding addition to Sioux Falls. Love the simple menu doing one thing and doing it well. Pizza. If you want cheese bread, if you want ravioli, go somewhere else. The sourdough Breadico crust with the classic woodfired oven, make for the best pizza in Sioux Falls.

Calzones are fresh sourdough everyday, the spaghetti specials, I love the Hey Goombah! Pizza with Gorgonzola. My parents and family love it, highly recommend. Don’t forget the ice cream!

Delicious wood fired pizza in a clean, warm & cozy setting. My slice of pepperoni was delicious—zesty sauce with deep and rich tomato flavor. Crust is perfectly chewy with a bit of the sour dough bite that other reviewers mentioned. I’m not Italian nor a pizza expert but my gold standard is Surly Brewing pizza and this comes close.
I’d say 4.5 stars but I’m rounding up because some of the lower star ratings are simply personal preference and this place does NOT deserve a 2 star review because you don’t like the thickness of the crust or the taste of sour dough. This place has great pizza, don’t be deterred!
Also, there’s something about smelling the red oak wood burning oven while eating your pizza that tells you this is the real deal.

Margarita topped with arugula— 100% YES. Finally a place in Sioux Falls with authentic Italian pizza (as far as I know). Not “bar food” or “Americanized.” While I love me a Casey’s pizza, this is next level. It’s so good. GO!
