Me and my wife went here on date night. The experience was truly amazing! The atmosphere and the aroma of the food being made was awe inspiring. We were greeted and seated and waited on by Miguel he was attentive and made us feel like we were regulars and offered us suggestions on meals and drinks. We ordered the Cuban Calamari and it was full of flavor and the sauce was a great complement to the dish. We had ordered drinks and they were marvelous . When the food had arrived we were both shocked at the portion sizes! We both had enough for another meal and to end the meal we both order Cuban coffee and it was superb made by a true craftsman. To be honest the whole place and especially Miguel will have us be coming back.

This was an excellent lunch on a whim. We arrived at 11:30 and were seated immediately. The booths can be tight. I had the pork lunch special, and my wife had the magnificent Caribbean salad.

From the moment we sat down, Miguel gave us an outstanding service that truly made us feel like royalty. His attention to detail and very professional demeanor were impeccable. He was constantly checking in, making sure we were well taken care of, and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find someone who elevates the dining experience to this level.
The food was also great—fresh, flavorful, and authentic—but Miguel is the reason this meal was so memorable.

A rich, flavorful meal full of Cuba favorites. You really can’t go wrong with any place. The BYO bowls are also a nice option and a little bit smaller. The flan had that perfect burnt caramel texture and flavor. And our waiter Miguel was very kind and attentive. Miguel es muy amable y agradable!

I’ve been going to Havana Jax for about 20 years now. Always get the same thing bistec empanizado. Always top notch. Amazing rice, amazing beans, amazing tostones. That’s just the food aspect. The service has and still is top notch with Miguel. He is probably one of the best servers in Jacksonville. Funny, attentive, fast. I live out in California now but I still yearn for this place and come back every chance when visiting family.

Great food at the banquet area of the Havana Jax Cafe. My favorite is the roasted pork, yellow rice, plantains, and desserts. The tres leches cake and flan were both excellent! Spacious venue and great service!
