Food was fast, fresh, and delivered with a smile (and extra napkins). Unbeatable location right on the seawall. I used the Drive-Thru and planned to go home with my food, but the view and handy “park and eat” spots for drive-thru customers were so tempting that I stopped and ate my lunch with a view of the ocean!
There’s some maintenance needed at the location. The Drive-Thru speaker needs some attention, very hard to hear the employee through the distorted audio. Luckily, they could hear my order accurately. One of the “park and eat” spots was also missing a sign off the post.

I’ve come to this sonic a lot and had stopped coming because service was bad. Aparently they made some changes because I’ve never had service like this here. The cherry limeade was so good and the mozzarella sticks were fresh. They were not overcooked and the cheese pull was excellent. Thank you so much,Trish and Emily yall were amazing polite, helpful, and friendly, amazing service that I’ve never had at this particular Sonic before. What a great asset and blessing they both are for the company!

You can’t beat this Sonic. I am pretty sure its the best Sonic in the US. You can’t beat the view while eating your foot-long coney and fries. My kids enjoyed the seagulls chasing people on the beach while they ate, and loved seeing the water from the parking spot. Food was fresh and hot, and the service was fast and friendly. They made my drink, lemonade/sweet tea with blackberry PERFECT. Wish we lived closer.

We usually love sonic but this time I got all the kids their food told them to eat like normal and my son wasn’t a fan of his burger, after telling him to eat it again and again and he was being compliant I look over and realize there was WAY too much sauce. I asked for them to give us one with no sauce and they came back saying too much had been eaten and they would not. Was not the best service after spending over $50 and not being satisfied with how much sauce they put on. Here is a picture of all the sauce after I had used napkins to wipe a bunch of it off.

The staff here is so friendly especially the food runners! They were so nice to my babies that were being so rambunctious. Thank you Sonic staff! Such a great view and great ice cream experience before a 4hr drive home after a beach day!

Came to order food this morning at the stall. Pressed button and nobody ever answered so I pulled through window to order. Hispanic man took my order then complained it would take 10 minutes to warm up the coney island I wanted. Told him I would wait and he made it reluctantly. If you go here make sure to only order what they feel like making. Please don’t inconvenience them to do their job.

The outlook on the ocean front is amazing, but unfortunately, I ordered one drink and it took longer than 20 minutes to get to the drive-up order spot. I definitely will give them another shot, but I had to leave for work after that and didn’t have time to wait.

Addendum* I came back to Galveston on another business trip and decided to visit again. The first visit I received a shortage on my order and my change was not returned. The second visit I was shorted on what I requested in my beverage and insulted. I originally intended to order via the app, but I was not able to get the 1/2 price special on a beverage as well as another reward. I had a feeling that I should have just not ordered at all. Trish was pleasant over the intercom, but kept leaving out a particular item requested three times in my drink. Cora thought calling me out was intentionally necessary/ and I believe she thought it would anger/upset me. It did not. I picked up on Cora’s demeanor from the time she opened the window that she shows an intentional lack of customer service, respect and prejudice to whom she deems as unworthy. Also, speak up when you’re doing so, Don say it in a lower register. A prime example of someone throwing rocks and hiding their hands. The sad thing is that my energy has always been kind during any visit, so why do that? I could read “Cora” further, but she knows the real reason. Yes, I am a bigender woman, born male and I live comfortably as a woman. Some may pick up on that and others may not, but myself and God are all right with me! I am not ashamed nor am I hiding any truth. Be careful who you decide to be a bully towards you may not like the outcome of doing so. Regardless, the acts were noted and I will distance my appearance, dollars and classiness to avoid any further inconsideration.
I have been enjoying Sonic again after a long hiatus. The food has been fairly consistent, fresh and hot. The cheddar peppers are a fave and the chicken sandwich was a good choice to add variety. I most recently tried the chili dogs again and they are still good. The staff have all had good vibes, no attitude and were efficient. Just note that your food is being prepared made to order soit will take some time if you order through drive thru. Thanks for the experience ~ Josie

My usual quick stop! Moved here 1.5 years ago and have been to both locations on the island this location is the best in my opinion. Sure, there are days where things are slower but usually they are super fast and friendly. I usually order ahead and pick up for faster and smoother service

Great view from the seawall! Ordered some snacks for on the ride home. An order of chicken strips for the kiddo, a southwest crunch queso wrap for the Mrs and a soft pretzel with cheese sauce for me. Also got everyone a large soft drink as well. In and out in about 4-5 minutes with all the food piping hot and just the perfect amount of ice for the drinks. Thanks for the great service!
