I stop at this restaurant every year when I’m passing through town, and it’s amazing every time. The atmosphere at the bar is inviting, fun, and the food selection is great. I had the Ahi Tuna Wonton stack as an appetizer, and it was excellent. I followed it up with the meatloaf, and I was extremely happy. However, the BEST parts of my visit were Katie and Torie. They were fun, bubbly, and full of smiles. My glass was never empty, and they took great care of all of us at the bar. They are what made my visit so great.

We had a group of 11 for lunch. Our waitress was excellent. Keep our drinks filled, checked on us, to make sure all was good.
Food was excellent also.
I did call in advance to let them know a large group was coming, they do not take reservations. We were seated very quickly.

Three of my young kids and I ate here for the first time this evening and it was magnificent. We had the kids sirloin, kids pasta with cheese sauce, chicken tenders and fries, and a steakhouse burger. All of the food was fantastic! Though my five year old didn’t like her pasta with cheese sauce and we later learned that the base of the sauce is wine. It would have been nice if this was indicated on the menu (especially in the event of alcoholism- I know it cooks out but I also know how strict some recovering addicts are), but I thought the dish was incredible and complex.

Okay, keep reading if you want the mom by herself with a bunch of kids in a fancy restaurant story…

My whole family was planning to join us for this meal, and it didn’t work out that way. One of our kids was having a rough evening and the decision was made for one parent to stay home with him while the rest of us went out for dinner.

I was so anxious about going to a completely new to me place with three children. I called ahead to get a feel for the environment and how they feel about kids and their chaos. The young woman on the phone was kind and honest. Essentially communicating that they are prepared for kids, enjoy tables with kids, and aren’t chuck e cheese.

I took a deep breath and decided to stick with the plan. I’m so glad I did. The service was fantastic (I think our servers name was Ellen and she was lovely and patient and kind). The bread that they brought to the table was soft and warm and fluffy and chewy and the stuff of carbohydrate dreams. We sat at the fire place and it was perfectly soothing and cozy. The restaurant was gorgeous and fancy and down to earth. (We are wearing t shirts and felt perfectly comfortable next to others in nicer attire).

All of our food before tip was just under $54, comparable in price, but not flavor, to Applebee’s or Chili’s.

To top it all off, at the end of our meal, the manager came over to clear our table and check in. In a rush if gratitude I told him how anxious is felt before this experience, and how comfortable we’d been in the restaurant. He met my vulnerability with kindness and compassion and share that he, too, is a parent of four children and he understood.

Anyhoo— if you’re looking for a great place to eat a meal in West Knoxville, this may be it! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere supreme, and the service top notch.

Manager actively on floor helping and checking in with guests. Food was good. Definitely hit the spot left empty since moving from their sister location Liberty Park in Clarksville.

Parkside grill always has delicious food and great service! We went this evening and there was a small mess up with my food (waiting a bit longer for my plate). When this happens, typically, restaurants don’t say anything or do anything to fix it. The server and managers were so kind and courteous with fixing the issue. I greatly appreciated it and love each meal at parkside! Also the bread is always so good haha

I found Parkside Grill while traveling through Tennessee. It looked interesting and since it was past dinner time already, I decided to stop.

The food was excellent. I had the special of the day – surf & turf – that was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The shrimp were so flavorful that there was no need for cocktail sauce! Steak was melt in your mouth tender. The sides were also very good.

My only issue had to do with service; I was seated for some time (long enough for 3 other tables to be seated) before the waitress showed up, where she proceeded to wait on the new tables before even getting my drink order (which was never refilled although I had asked). This was enough for me to knock it down to 4 stars, because good service is a large part of enjoying a meal out.
