I have been coming here about once a month since 2022 with my boyfriend and family. The food is usually somewhat inconsistent with some good and some bad items depending on the day, but last night was terrible. I went out with my boyfriend for a late valentine’s day celebration after having been on a diet for a long while. I ordered 24 pieces of sushi for myself, and they were unusually flavorless, other than the Philadelphia rolls, which i dont really like anyways. Most rolls were almost entirely cucumber and rice. I couldnt taste avocado in any but the green dragon roll, which is usually my favourite, but the shrimp tempura in the centre had such a hard, unpleasant shell that it ruined the entire taste. The white dragon roll was entirely flavorless and the black dragon had barely any sauce. I got almost zero sauce on all of my sushi. My boyfriend always orders the general Tao, chicken balls, and cheese wontons, and he also thought his items were bad. They sent out way more chicken balls than he ordered, and the general Tao was the worst we’ve ever had. It was flavorless and very soggy. Cheese wontons were the only good food of the night. I ordered sashimi, and it came out on a plastic bowl filled with ice and a colour changing LED at the bottom. I have always found the sashimi at taka to be ok at best, highly inconsistent in thickness and flavor. I got two of each fish available, and all were sliced extremely thick and the mackerel tasted off. Two of the pieces had an awful offputting crust as pictured. The crab sticks were so watery that I couldnt taste the meat at all. The service was alright, I understand that it was lunar new year and the place was packed, but the food wasnt remotely good and not worth the cheat day. I’ll go to mandarin from now on.

If I remember correctly there were more options for All You Can Eat couple months back, but the options were still pretty solid. Servers worked so efficiently, rapidly picked up used plates the whole night. The environment was comfortable, didn’t feel like getting rushed because of the awaited customers. Overall I enjoyed my experience there and will definitely go back.

I often come. Last time, I waited 30mins to get a table. Items barely matching menu picture. Food is not bad. Service is something hard to explain (they’re all on mute and if they speak up, they scream infront of your face and for sure you won’t understand from the first time so you would ask them to repeat). Too loud noises and music is boring, always the same playlist. Not enough napkins and this happens everytime. Forks are dirty. Water is hot and has weird tastes. Washroom is scary. Whole place is smelly. Price is somehow expensive. I spend $40+ for all you can eat, good but not the best at all!

Hands down, this is the best sushi buffet in Windsor. Despite being a buffet, the food quality remains at a consistently high standard, which is impressive. The Tom Yum soup and miso soup are both flavorful and well-balanced, making them a great way to start the meal. All the appetizers are delicious, offering a variety of flavors that complement the main dishes perfectly. The sushi itself is always fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. This restaurant has become a favorite for our family, and we always look forward to dining here. The service is efficient, and the overall dining experience is enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers, and we will definitely keep coming back for more.

Service is quick and sushi buffets are fun. Most of the food was tasty but a handful were bad. The mango ice cream had a bitter taste and only a memory of mango flavour. I ordered miso soup and you could see the base was sitting at the bottom of the bowl – it tasted like tap water. We ordered 8 pieces of salmon sashimi and they only brought out 2 pieces. We reordered it and they brought lower quality, thicker cut salmon sashimi that had a noticeably worse taste compared to the two pieces we got earlier. Not excited about this place, I’d recommend Kona sushi for a much better quality meal

This place is Okay at best. There’s absolutely no reason anybody should be not doing the all you can eat because the prices for what you’re getting here are kind of outrageous if you don’t. The food qualities is decent But the one thing that bothers me is every time I come here for all you can eat they always “forget” items or Things that you’ve requested. I can get past it if it’s super busy because at the end of the day, you could always re-order it, but I went in today when it was barely busy and there were three sets of rolls that just didn’t show up. This happens every single time I come here And it’s kind of annoying, Decent place to go with your friends Or for a decent family dinner but only if you do all you can eat

Excellent food. We are use to asking a server for a beverage at other restaurants but here they ask you to use the ipad- just an FYI. Atmosphere is good as it is an old Montana’s restaurant.
Would defintely go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Shrimp-pocalypse Now: A Tenko Sushi Experience”
I came to Taco Sushi expecting a casual dinner, maybe a few rolls, some tempura… You know, normal sushi restaurant things. What I got instead was an unstoppable tsunami of shrimp that defied the laws of physics.
The moment I stepped inside, I heard a distant rumble. Then, the kitchen doors burst open like the gates of heaven, and a tidal wave of colossal shrimp came crashing onto my table. Tempura? More like Tem-pocalypse. I barely had time to blink before an army of sushi rolls parachuted from the ceiling, landing gracefully on my plate like they were trained by the military.
Every bite was glorious, but no matter how much I ate, the shrimp supply never dwindled. It was as if Poseidon himself ran the kitchen, furiously spawning an infinite seafood supply just for me. A chef whispered in my ear, “At Taka, the shrimp chooses you.”
At one point, a sashimi avalanche nearly buried me alive, but a server (who I swear had gills) heroically dug me out with a pair of chopsticks. I wept tears of joy as I realized: this is not just a restaurant—this is an experience. A rite of passage. A shrimp-induced fever dream from which I never want to wake up.
I left Taka a changed man. My clothes smell like shrimp. My heart beats like a taiko drum, synchronized with the kitchen’s relentless seafood output. I tried to leave, but a giant tempura shrimp grabbed my ankle and whispered, “One more roll, mortal.”
10/10. Will return. Probably already there.

Atmosphere was good. The waitress was telling me we have 4 spicy mayo to start off with and we had a party of 10. At the start we order stir fry and a bunch of items that never came. When asked about them, they said to reorder. Appetizers came the majority of the time and the sushi at the end. Overall okay, would go somewhere else next time.
