Tejano here! I was staying in the neighborhood and wanted some Tex-Mex food after arriving early in the morning from the West Coast. I randomly chose this restaurant and I’m glad I did. I had the carne guisada. I’ll definitely come back and try other items on the menu. Don’t let the empty restaurant fool you! It was a late dinner 45 minutes prior to closing. The worker told me they get busy in the day for breakfast and lunch time as there is a military base nearby.

I gave this restaurant a 1 star because when I went in and sat down there were 2 dead cock roches up in the light fixture. I told the waitress why I was changing my tables. I also told her when I checked out. When Zi left the table she put two menus on the table for the next customers so obviously they do not care. I have always enjoyed going here. I totally understand there are cock roaches but I do not want to look at them when I am eating.

Huge portions of good food at affordable prices. Waitress must not have written notes as orders came out wrong, but all was righted in the end. Fine, but not my favorite. I enjoyed the rice the most. Didn’t have mushrooms for veggie quesadilla, which was sad.

After a long day we chose this Mexican restaurant for dinner. Had never been there before. We were just passing through. Service was very good. I had enchiladas and so did my husband. We just had different sauces. They were both excellent. The refried beans were very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place . I think they have a drive thru too. Only downside is that they don’t serve alcohol.

The grilled shrimp basket. Shrimp were jumbo and grilled to perfection. The veggies and salad were fresh and crisp. The shell was of pastry quality. My family enjoyed the meals. Grandson just graduated from medic school at Fort Bluss and had been recommended to the Charo Mexican Grill. My daughter and husband enjoyed their lunch as well.

1st time visit. You seat yourself. Food was good. We really liked the hot sauce. Cheese enchiladas with a crispy taco. The booths are set to close to the benches and can not be moved. So if you like a bit more room (not have the table right up against you) like we do better off to sit at a table where you can move the chairs. Lots of military and construction workers. Seems service was better for the men. Some walked in after us and received their food before us. Litte bit more price wise for lunch then other places and they charge for to go boxes. The sign in the bathroom had us laughing…wth!?! See photos

Best Fajitas I’ve had in years! All sauces are fresh and hand made. Refried beans and rice delicious! Wonderful smile came with service. I’ll be back tomorrow! LOL
