Had breakfast at Bluewater Avalon in Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, and it was an amazing experience. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re exploring the island and looking for a nice waterfront meal.
We tried Fish & Chips, Fish Tacos, and a Grilled Fish Sandwich, along with bread with butter and coleslaw as a side appetizer. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The seafood tasted high quality, and you could really tell it was freshly prepared.
The overall experience was excellent — great food, great location, and a relaxing island dining atmosphere.
Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Avalon and want a delicious seafood breakfast or brunch.

Service was great and front of house was excellent. They sat us inside with our puppy saying the whole restaurant is dog friendly. They even brought him some treats. They brought a booster for my toddler too.
Dinner service was a bit rushed but I guess that’s nothing to do with the staff but with the restaurant policy.
The food itself was mediocre. I ate it because I was hungry but nothing I’d want to see again. The green beans that came with the cod were raw – so hard to eat. The Sauvignon Blanc I had was bad.

So right before we went to our parasailing we stopped at this restaurant and we had a great lunch!
We ordered the shrimp pasta with asparagus and we also had the mashed potato dish!
Everything was fresh and tasty and a very very good!
We picked this restaurant because of the view and we enjoyed the food as well and of course our conversation about going parasailing as my friend was extremely scared!
If you don’t know which restaurant to pick try this one out because it was quite good!

This is one of my best dining experiences ever I ordered the edamame and the wedge salad with Salmon My server Julissa was one of the sweetest most accommodating people Ive encountered in a long time. I sat Oceanside with a fantastic view. The food was exquisite and reasonably priced absolutely would return again and again.!

The atmosphere can not be beat at this place on the island compared to the other restaurants. We got a seat right next to the water so you could hear the crashing waves. The bread was amazing! I got the lobster roll which was good but not the best I have ever had. My husband got the raw oysters which he loved and the Seafood Paella Valenciana which was good but had a very strong wine flavor that overpowered the dish a little. The service was good and fast! We came on off season (October) so there was no wait but I would imagine on peak season there would be quite the wait.

This seafood restaurant is an absolute gem! The freshness of the dishes really stands out, and everything we tried was delicious. The highlight of the meal was definitely the clam chowder—it was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor, with just the right balance of clams and seasoning. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had!

Such a beautiful location! The sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean, an amazing view! it was my birthday and we mentioned it at the entrance and ask for a table by the water- and we got one. The service was friendly, but while we were having lunch, the waiters came up about 15 times, asking if they could clear the plates (even though there was still food on them) and if we needed anything else.. it was a bit intrusive. The lobster roll was a bit dry:(
They didn’t offer a birthday treat, but that’s ok, not many restaurants go above and beyond for their guests like that.
