The service itself was incredible as our server was very personable and friendly while being highly attentive to our requests. Whilst the food was coming out at a slower pace than most other restaurants, it’s understandable due to how much time and effort goes into creating the dishes.
The restaurant itself had a great ambience and was well decorated, but did not feel as intimate due to the open-front that faced the hotel lobby.
With all of this being said, the experience itself was amazing and is something to remember. I would definitely come back as the overall value, service, and the amazing food is worth every penny.
I usually go out of the hotels so I am not disappointed but this one is actually a very good surprise!
The food is very good and the portions are generous!
The waiters are kind and absolutely professional!
I recommend!
My grown son and I were looking for something truly special to celebrate our first Christmas together.
He resettled in Canada just over a month ago after spending more than six years in a refugee camp, and we wanted this evening to feel joyful, welcoming, and memorable. I live in New York State, and as we prepare to move to Ottawa, this moment mattered deeply to us.
Tulip immediately felt right. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Vincent, who is both the floor manager and bartender. His presence set the tone for the entire evening—kind, attentive, and genuinely joyful.
For dessert we decided to order the Tarte au citron and the Vegan Chocolate Mousse. This was my son’s first time ever eating dessert. Until now, he only knew dessert as “a small sweet meal that comes after the big meal”—and suddenly it all made sense to him. Why they’re sweet. Why they’re small. Why they’re special.
Watching him experience that moment was incredibly moving.
The lemon tart was bright, balanced, and elegant. The chocolate mousse was rich and comforting.
Two desserts, completely different, each perfect in its own way—almost like two different kingdoms, both beautiful. We both had a strange and wonderful sense of déjà vu, as if this moment had been waiting to happen.
I am a French-trained chef and owned a restaurant in Manhattan for eight years, so I try not to be biased—but I can honestly say: everything about Tulip was perfect. The food, the atmosphere, the service, and the care behind every detail.
This wasn’t just dinner. It was a memory. A Christmas we will never forget.
Highly, wholeheartedly recommended.

My friend had the Kari Kari Filipino stew, which was a peanut sauce and chicken delight. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, and the sweet potatoe mash was insane with nuts and mushrooms and asparagus, I wanted more!
I didn’t order the creme Brule, which was orange and rosemary, but the others did, and wow, it was huge and perfect.
I ate most of their’s
I have to say, this is some of the best looking, well displayed, and equally delicious food I have ever eaten in a hotel restaurant. Check the pics.
Alex was great at service. Try tonight!
Overall the service was nice, the bartender was very friendly and welcoming, the server was friendly and showed us what the dishes looked like if a table nearby ordered something we were curious about. It is a bit on the pricier end but everything is pleasing to the eye, just missing the “oomph” factor in the flavour of the dishes we tried. I’d be open to trying other items on their menu!
If you’re nearby and want a pleasant dining experience that’s a bit more upscale then I’d give them a visit.
